Bills 23, Chargers 14: Post Game Thread

Thebestteameverred_medium      Sd_medium
Buffalo Bills 23, San Diego Chargers 14

After multiple power outages, delays and being forced to follow the first half action via a cell phone radio broadcast, Bills fans should rejoice!  A huge win over a good San Diego team puts the Bills at 5-1. Trent Edwards came back from being concussed to go 25 of 30 for 261 big yards and a beautiful TD to Lee Evans.  Evans finished with 8 catches for 89 yards and the TD.  A great performance by the Bills defense, which forced 3 crucial turnovers, won the game in the 4th Quarter.  Add any and all post game discussion in this thread!  Go Bills!

This kind of D effort

without Schobel or McGee against a very good offense bodes well for us the rest of the way. Playoffs here we come!

Awesome game by our team

All 3 phases came to the stadium to play, and our bit players made some keys plays.
Preston, great in relief for Fowler
Bryan made some nice plays coming in for Schobel
LBs and Williams all came to hurt people
We keep this up, we are gettng a bye week to the Playoffs.

One concern is the loss of DiGi

We need him to spell Poz, and I hope his injury ends up being minor, but I have a bad feeling that we are looking at an ACL tear.

Btw, switch to the Bears-Vikes game if you like shoot outs!

Yeah, he’s probably done for the year. Any time the cart comes out, it’s a bad injury….

Jackson really drove the bus for us today

It seems like the Chargers had no answer for him regardless of what he was doing

Glad

We didn’t toss him in any Tony Gonzales play like the rumors said.

LOL, that was fruggin' AWESOME

I hate missing so much of the game, but in many ways, it just added to sheer awesomeness of the game. This was like listening to a game in HS, and your trying to get to it and a buddy is telling you about it while your in the car.

OK one more

Get Melvin a can of paint. He’ll need it to polish up his seat on the bench.

can't believe

the circus today was. All I know is Stroud again was a beast and this team goes as far as Trent Edwards wants to get better. The kid is a stud

Could happen

If the Raiders stop lining up offside. They are all over Favre

say hello to a Mr. Mitchell

oh Kawika Mitchell with your long wavy hair the way you save the game with that amazing pick, and then you get yourself a sack and a huge force fumble. and did anyone else see him hauling to the outside to force Sproles out of bounds on 3rd down before he could get the first, it was so sexy

"Where else would you rather be than right here, right now?"

Why the Bills won

The offense averaged 41 yards per drive instead of the usual 28ish.

It didn’t seem SD could stop us at all today….especially through the air

True

It doesn’t seem like much, but that’s an extra first down per drive. With 9 drives that’s up to 20ish minutes of extra time of possession..though it was actually closer to about 10ish minutes. Keep away is a good way to mask Buffalo’s defensive issues.

Seemed like the O stopped itself more than anything else

Just couldn’t get into the endzone on several of those long drives. Seemed like playcalling was a bit of a challenge at times. Great win though.

Packers up 10 on the Colts…..and a Ryan Grant sighting. Rejoice!

phins

i don’t like the phins getting put it to em today. Means they will be undoubtedly ready to play next week. I hope we can start the AFC east meat-grinder at 1-0. It is finally here!

As comment on the Colts-Packers tilt

The Refs have been so heavily in favor of the Pack, I’ve on occassion thought it was a Bills game. Just horrible flags thrown all game by the Refs.

Talk about invisible

Was Hardy even on the field today? I know he did not make the stat sheet, but I didn’t even see him thrown to/drop any balls. Was he at the game?

by roscoe11 on Oct 19, 2008 8:53 PM EDT reply actions

He played. Trent just never got the ball to him.
