The Wild Buffalo

How about the Wild Buffalo? Haha. Do you think the Dolphins would expect to see Fred Jackson taking snaps and running the option with Marshawn? We could even line JP up on the outside, he's pretty damn athletic. But seriously, if the Bills are looking for gadget plays they have the talent at runningback to execute the Wildhog formation. I think it would be pretty useful in the redzone.

Let's face it, guys... the Bills rushing attack could use something like this... even if it is blatant plagiarism. Our run blocking has been terrible so maybe we could use a little schematic tweaking.

If not, I believe we need a complete overhaul of our rushing attack. Turk needs to sit down and go back to the drawing board (literally) or get on the OL and the OL coach's ass to get guys to maintain and finish blocks because Marshawn's production is suffering terribly. For whatever reason, when we get in the red zone the OL block like pro-bowlers... they need that mentality between the 20's... I mean, wtf mates?

I’ll add this to ForeignArrow’s thoughts: I saw Jackson throwing some balls to trainers during warm-ups this past Sunday. Dude’s got an arm.

If not the hog...

I’m sure we’ll see at least a half-back pass this season…. right?

Didn't we see

Freddy take a direct snap against Oakland? The Raiders used that formation, too, and I bealieve that was the week Miami first used wildcat. I really like direct snaps to the RB when the QB is standing in shotgun.

yeah

he did but i cant recall if Lynch was on the field at the time.

i like where your head is foreignarrow

It would be legendary (not to mention humiliating for the Dolphins) if we came out and Wildcatted them. Haha. But I guess first we have to learn to run period first

McKelvin and Hardy - rookies of the year

Didn't Vote Because I Couldn't Blame One Thing ...

One trend I want to keep tracking is yards/att for Jackson versus Lynch. Last year, Lynch was 4.0 and Freddie was 5.2. This year Lynch is 3.5 and Freddie is 4.3.

NO, I AM NOT SAYING FREDDIE SHOULD BE PLAYING AHEAD OF LYNCH.

But I have noticed several times that Lynch doesn’t hit the right hole. I know that many times there’s absolutely nothing there, but not all the time. Lynch is young and still learning. I think a combination of blocking and better running can get this done. Sunday was actually a very good rushing game. I think they are getting close.

I think Turk could come up with a pretty good package

That is, if he hasn’t already. Of course, he probably doesn’t want to put a QB out in the slot.

A nice personnel package would be Lynch, Jackson, Royal (or whatever TE you prefer), Evans, Parrish, and Reed. (Hardy could be included in place of Parrish or Reed in time). Jackson could be acting QB for the play.

How about calling it the “Stampede” formation? (You know, Buffalo…stampede…)

Get the Bills back to the big game!
