This is a day all about momentum, Bills fans. The Buffalo Bills, as I'm sure you're well aware, have opened up their 2008 regular season schedule with four straight wins - something they haven't done since 1992. Following today's game, the Bills will take their bye week. That means that a loss in today's game would, for two weeks, kill most - if not all - of the momentum that the team has built up through the first quarter of the season.
Momentum is, in reality, the most influential force on wins and losses in the NFL. The Bills have momentum, to be sure, but their test today is far from easy, as they take on the high-scoring Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium, where the Cards always play tough football. A loss wouldn't be the end of the world for Buffalo, clearly - but it would spell the end of their momentum.
Preserve momentum. That's what the Bills need to do today, and the only way that's accomplished is by winning their third consecutive road game against a very tough opponent. It's not going to be easy, but it can certainly be done. This is Buffalo's stiffest test to date, and I can't wait to see how they'll respond. A win sure would be nice here. The Phins are whopping the Chargers, so the Bills need to keep a healthy lead in the division. The division is much tougher than people think.

If you want to have some fun go look at an official transcript. The number of sentences that she didn’t complete. The number of sentences that didn’t make any sense. You know, WIVB could have gotten a lot of support if they had streamed the game on their website instead of whining about how evil TimeWarner is. They didn’t bother. TimeWarner could have gotten a lot of support if they had run the feed from Phoenix’s CBS affiliate. They didn’t bother.

Thing to watch, check to see how the O responds to having JP back there
On the ensuing drive, will they play tough or wuss out now that Trent is done?
The D was playing kinda listlessly, I got a bad feeling the team is freaking out now that Trent’s steadying hand is out.

Thats one of the most underrated things about Trent is how the team didn't panic when he was running the O.
JP can be to excitable, this could either be a good or bad thing depending on which JP shows up. The tough gunslinger, or the can’t read the D deer in the headlights Losman.

Only one good thing with Trent being down this week
Our Bye is next week, meaning if he needs a couple of weeks to get back on the field, he will get it.
Not saying I’m happy is hurt, by no stretch of the imagination, in fact I feel sick to my stomach, but at least it isn’t the week before the playoffs.

Refs are trying to throw flags on teh Bills
This is going to be a long game. When a ref throws a flag for Whittle being ineligible 4 seconds after it is loudly announced that he’s eligible you just know Buffalo is going to get screwed by the refs.
I think the NFL is still mad about Wilson voting against the CBA and then having him proven right

is getting schooled right now. Clearly, we have a ways to go yet.
The team is still young. This season will give the front office much to think about and realize where we need to improve. It’s painfully obvisous that the O-line and DE’s need to be addressed as well as another OLB.
I am not giving up on the Bills already in this game or the season, but let’s be realistic. We have some players who don’t have a year of experience yet, this year will be a great learning experience. We will have cap space and draft picks to improve.

If the last few weeks have taught me anything, it is not to worry.
But I think after another couple failed drives and another couple Arizona scores, that optimism might start to turn to pessimism.

Only way the Bills are gonna get going in this game is for the o-line to stop blocking. Thus far this season, it hasn’t happened but I think they can do it. Strong special teams and turnovers would help too.

When your team is being driven on, make the FUNDAMENTAL play, and not the HIGHLIGHT play. Thats a discipline issue!

OKay, maybe Moron may be a bit strong, but Youbuty has been playing smarter ball than that
All this year so far, its just really disappointing to see him go for the highlight hit than just planting a dude, Besides, he was tyring to tackle a TE with a 50 Lbs advantage at a minimum by leaving his feet, not smart.

A FG stop is a small victory for us. We are just getting in sync and the D appears to be getting a little better (a very little)…I think we can win this game with the right adjustments at the half. This is where the coaches earn their $$$

in case you missed that part. This is all a relative thing. The Cards should be 1 dimensional. Fitzgerald is their only true stud and if we can roll coverage to him, I think we can stop everyone else.

The Cards are up 10 and get the ball first in the 3rd quarter. Given that the Bills can’t stop them on 3rd down they’ll soon be up 17.

But Youboty could have stopped the drive and Denny could have, too. NO other single defender had that kind of opportunity.
When Warner sees the corner playing 10 yards off he goes right to a slant. It will be open all day.

Fewell’s scheme has been somewhat brutal thus far. Greer has been up on Fitz often, but the second he is 10 yards off, Warner hits it. We gotta get after Warner, somehow, some way

Brian has been telling us that Fewell won’t play up, so get ready for a steady diet of 6-10 yard slants on our 3 LBs when we need 3 CBs on the field.

Not much really, the Cards have been driving from all over the field
So giving it to them potentially at 40 makes no difference right now, other than we get the ball back quicker.
