Edwards subconsciously Telegraphing!
Has anyone else noticed that Edwards is giving away and telegraphing which way the run is going with the way he has his leg out and angled at the line, when he should be semetrical when taking the snap??? He'll have one leg forward and which ever direction the handoff is going and the play is designed to goin he'll have the other leg turned at an angle in that direction as if he's getting a head start!!!!AAGGGHHHHH! This is rediculous that an NFL coordinator is not catching this or else just not doing anything about it because he is the one calling the plays and also he is the one who should be correcting Edwards on his technique and positioning at the line! Now by no means is Edwards meaning to to do this-Edwards Telegraphing is done subconsciously! There are lots of things people do without realizing they are doing it to give things away in all types of things they do in everyday life, boxing especially would be an example of it, also poker would be a different kind of example where the players look for tell-tale signs and give aways to nervous habits or trends!--It's called telegraphing. In this case telegraphing the run and what direction the ball is going in--Just watch Edwards himself and the fact that the Patriots linebackers are immediatly headed in the right direction at the snap!!! Please just look it's right there!
I'd like to add that this is by far my favorite Bills webite there is and is by far the most knowledgable and best in touch with whats important to the fans im very happy to join you guys and the community! Thanks Fam1ly F1rst

Is that so?
I would be very surprised becomes usually you stop doing that after Jr. High football, well in my exprience
I know it and I will be very happy if they are actually finally correcting it. So that our opponents linebackers are’nt on the play at the snap! And come to think about it, I know our O-Line is’nt very good but it could have something to do with our opponents having a good idea of what direction oue runs are heading and where the holes are designed to be open each play!
I just finished the Short Cuts version of the game. I didn’t see Edwards tipping the run direction at all. Maybe I’m just blind, but it’s not there to me. I did see his left foot a few inches back on one run play left, but that was after a signal for the WR to go in motion.
He sure looked square to me in this past game. Is this not in reference to the Pats game?
I did see a lot of poor blocking and predictable play calling…

It’s been going on since last season-I believe it was Rich Gannon who noticed it and talked about it during a game last season and was being sarcastic calling out each play before the snap and having fun with it!
It might have been, but he mentioned more than that during the game and that it was a problem with Edwards but he seen a lot of promise in him and that it was obviously correctable! It’s not just as simple as a one leg behind the other thing. He did’nt mention hand signals. It was actually about Edwards telegraphing and his semetry,it’s slight but to a guy like Belichick that looks for anything at all under a microscope it can hurt when the defenders are aware to look for it.
Watching film.

It’s possible that Gannon might have had an interest in studying our play signals before in his preperations to broadcast the game but he would’nt hav known and been callingout the directions of our runs. It’s not having one leg behind the other, it’s Edwards having one foot forward and the other foot angled in the driection where he’s gonna hand the ball off and the direction the run is designed for. I seen while at the game and I went and seen it on my recording. I do’nt know but they said he was working on small imperfections on his footing this week in practice and I would’nt expect for them to openly admit to the puplic that this exist because then it would be aknowledging it’s a problem and tipping off every D-coordinator in the league to it. Oh well if it’s corrected I have a feeling that our not so good offensive line is gonna look a lot better on monday night! I can’t wait and am counting the hours and im not gonna know what to do with my sunday!
I’ll be at the chiefs game on the 23rd so hopefully the seats will be good enough to see something but I dought it-either way things are gonna be great being at the game but I hear the Chiefs and arrowhead have some of the wildest fans around. Stave Taskers family are gonna be there and his niece said she’d let me know where the Bills fans will be gathered for tail-gating. Sorry guys im just still thinking about it and hopefully we get a strong performance and the win monday so I can go into this game feeling good!
I hate the way he holds his arm as he throws.
While I’ve tried that and it helps with accuracy, that telegraphs the direction that the pass is going pretty obviously. Edwards needs to go back to the basics and work on this stuff.
I think that with the way we heard that there was some tweaking being done over the week leading up to the Browns game, that this was possibly addressed and we know that we seen remarkable improvment in our running game from both Lynch and Jackson in the game! It’s just to bad that we can’t say the same for Edwards performance!
