Buffalo Bills (5-4) vs Cleveland Browns (3-6)

Keys to Victory :: Video Preview :: BUF Injuries :: CLE Injuries
Bills inactives: 17-Justin Jenkins, 25-Xavier Omon, 65-Jason Whittle, 77-Demetrius Bell, 82-Josh Reed, 94-Aaron Schobel, 97-John McCargo, 10–Gibran Hamdan - 3rd QB

This is it.  Monday Night Football.  The 5-4 Buffalo Bills have a golden opportunity to turn their season around - on a national stage, no less - when they take on the 3-6 Cleveland Browns in just under an hours' time.

I could re-iterate everything that's been said all week about the importance of this game; about what it means for the Bills to have a good showing tonight, and to emerge victorious.  But I don't have to.  This is beyond big, and every single one of you realizes it.

We'll dispense with pleasantries, then.  If you're looking to get into tonight's game, you've found the right place.  Grab your favorite snack and choice adult beverage.  This is Monday Night Football.  This, Bills fans, is the beginning of the rest of Buffalo's season.

LOVE IT

THE intro to MN Countdown was solid…….David Cook’s leave the “light on” was the theme….I think a perfect symbolism to the Bills’ season. DON’T TURN OFF THE LIGHTS ON THE BILLS…..

COME ON BUFFALO! PUMP IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got my Bills Mug, a frosty adult beverage and Pizza on the way. I cannot wait for this one!

I hope DJ showed them the footage from last years MNF game.

And then told them that another game like that this season will end it. This is make or break time. Put up or shut up.

Actives

I don’t have my text from bb.com about that yet. I was hoping they would have McCargo active to use him against Jamal Lewis. He ran them over last year and in the Bills last three losses the same thing has happened.

Remarkably little Browns (esp. Brady Quinn) coverage on Monday Night Countdown.

When the game starts, don’t expect the booth guys to get all over Brady Quinn. Tirico went to Syracuse with the guy from Channel 8 and Kornheiser is an upstate guy. Although, to quote Wilbon, he slurps Notre Dame all the time.

Just got the text. Nice timing.

No Josh Reed either. That will hurt Trent. Apparently Hardy is playing, though. Good?

Janelle Winslow Biography

As a biography, we do not have much information on Janelle Winslow. She has been married to Cleveland Browns tight end NFL player Kellen Winslow since June 15, 2006. The couple first met in middle school.

Janelle Winslow is her husband’s childhood sweetheart. When the couple finally decided to get married they didn’t tell anyone about their wedding plans. All together they had asked 20 family members and friends to join them for a get together on this special weekend.

When their loved ones had arrived, they surprised them with the news. Janelle and Kellen Winslow were holding the wedding services at their suburban home in Cleveland. In an interview Janelle Winslow’s husband Kellen said:

I like Tom & Ditka...

Keep Emmit far away from me and Keyshawn too. Suzy can stay. I don’t have a problem with Merill Hoge all the time but he’s no Steve Young. Oh yeah, Cris Carter is God awful. Why can’t they have Trent Dilfer on this show too? Gimmie Jaws any day, too. Tirico does fine I think. I kinda like tony Kornheiser on PTI but not on MNF.

by MattRichWarren on Nov 17, 2008 7:42 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

ugghhh…Emmit and Shannon sharp have to be the worst announcers on t.v. and Suzy can spend the night. Steve & Jaws are awesome..Tony annoys the hell outta me on MNF….It’s just an all day Farve slurp fest with him on there….and I guarantee he’ll be spooning with Quinn tonight

Donovan McNabb

Does anyone else side with Keyshawn here? Should this fall on the coaches? Is DOnovan solely responsible for not knowing games end in a tie? What do you guys think?

The Bills beat Denver

I think it was the year of our first SP, by scoring something like 3 TDs in 90 secs. Up to that point, the Cows were favorites to go to the SB, after that game, their season tanked big time. I think Schlereth played on that team.

If it’s Whitner vs Winslow, there could be serious problems for our D. He can’t handle mediocre TE’s, I can’t imagine he’ll be able to handle one of the more athletic ones.

~K

by Kurupt on Nov 17, 2008 7:55 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Bryan Scott, you mean?

He did alright against Gates, not great, but not poorly. With Quinn’s focus on the short stuff, it’ll be a bigger challenge today, IMO, even though Gates was the better player….

Hope so Goodell:

Q: How much a part will tradition and history play in the awarding of the Bills as a franchise to a new owner or will it strictly come down to economics?

RG: I think tradition and history is very important. I think the passion of the fans is important. But it ultimately comes down to can the team continue to be successful here and I believe it can because of the passion of our fans in this region and I think the steps the Bills are taking to regionalize the team and broadening the interest in the team and hopefully will attract more people to support the Bills.

Who they pick to win the AFC EAST?

Chris Carter – Jets
TJ – Dolphins (THE DOLPHINS?!?!?!)
Ditka – Jets “don’t count anyone out though”
Keyshawn – “three team race, won’t be Buffalo”
Berman – Jets have the highest ceiling, “bring your passports”

11-5 wins the division

I was happy when the Bills were off to such a great start; Buffalo’s been a lot like Cleveland the past several years in the sense that we just can’t get over that hump to go from being an average-record team to a playoff-record team. Hopefully Buffalo can get back into the AFC East race…not including tonight’s game, of course ;)
