The Bills had 4 runs for a loss, which is pretty typical for a team without a legit center. I thought Peters had one of his best games of the season and Dock, Butler and Walker were all solid. I’m not sure what you saw that makes you think the O-Line was “horrendous”.

They actually had six

Maybe horrible is the wrong word and inconsistent is better…on one play they open up holes and the next they allow penetration. I know you aren’t going to beat your opponent every play but we get beat too much up front. On the last drive of the game they only sent four guys on every play and they were in QB’s face before the receivers could even get down field.

Some if it is play calling…some is the offensive line…there are a lot of things wrong with this team (including J.P. today) but he is not the story. I just get sick of evryone always picking a wipping boy instead of actually making an analysis.

I’m actually not even sure what J.P. did to become so hated in Buffalo. He has done everything he has been asked to do and yet he some how became the wipping boy for the fans and the media. Is the answer NO but everyone seems to (or at least used to) think that Trent Edwards is and to validate their point they need to pick on J.P.

What has Edwards done to prove he is better than J.P.? The answer is nothing…neither one is the answer. Trent Edwards isn’t a better QB because people say that J.P. sucks, yet that is what fans seem to think.

I’m done ranting now…I’m still a Bills fan through and through and I will be cheering next week when they play the Dolphins.

He did hold the ball too long on a couple of plays but J.P. is not the story of this game and if anyone thinks otherwise they are just flat out wrong

Lynch averages 8.4 a carry

but only gets it 16 times. The quarterbacks are terrible, but they pass it 38 times. Idiocy. If it was a blowout, maybe you have to do this. But when you’re in the game like that, that play distribution is unacceptable and incompetent.

I posted this on the Eagles blog, but you guys are another victim of the Mike Holmgren system

I’ll add-on to this.

The following people have been under Holmgren’s Green Bay system:

* Dick Jauron fired from Chicago and he seems to be getting heat for the Bills collapse after their fast start.

* Andy Reid…..you know the rest.

* Steve Mariucci fired by 2 teams.

* Marty Mornhinweg was canned in Detroit.

* Ray Rhodes was fired in Philly.

* Jon Gruden is the only coach not on the hot seat and he’s the best coach from that bunch.

Even Gruden, he won the Super Bowl really with Tony Dungy’s team and hasn’t won a playoff game since.

They all run virtually the same, unimaginative system that depends on the O-line being successful with finesse blocking instead of “power blocking”. The WCO is about slants and curl patterns and less about deep bombs. The Bills scored 3 points and looking at Gamecast did not attempt many passes longer than 25 yards. Come on, on 4th and 15 they threw a dumpoff.

Jauron is just another mediocre coach from the old Holmgren-GB days and the mentor has taught the students to “play not to lose” instead of “to win”.

With that said, Jauron has a brain, he can definitely change things up when the crap hits the fan like it has here.

Those are my two cents.

just got home….i hate my life and this team if it had a QB would be fine. I know play calling, jauron, blah blah….but the players laid an egg. OL played well, Marshawn did his thing, but the QB and WR’s were pathetic.
