Why???????
What's up to the Bills Nation. Can somebody please tell me WHY this team even though thier season was at stake did not play with any urgency? Can somebody please tell me WHY on the Bills (first field goal miss drive) they didn't just run the dam ball instead of doing their Eagles impersonation? Can somebody please tell me WHY this team rufuses to accept the fact their base front can't consistently rush the passer and actually prussure the quaterback let alone sack him.Can somebody please tell me WHY this team allowed a 3 and 8 football team from the west coast to come in their east coast stadium at the end of November in inclement weather and not only beat them but keep them out of the end zone? IF anybody out there in the Bills nation knows the answers to these questions please tell me WHY?????? IT'S YA MAN Bdot-N-I'M Out!!!!!

Sure no problem
1. They figured they were screwed anyway so why bother.
2. They figured they were screwed anyway so why bother.
3. They have to blitz 11 to get to the quarterback so why bother.
4. They were in the Xmas giving spirit.

The Bills came out and ran all over the place and shut Frank Gore down. The defense certainly looked like they had a sense of urgency out there and rebounded well after they gave up some big pass plays that first drive. Also, how can anyone say they did or didn’t play with urgency? It’s one of those cliches that I hate. I do believe that it is real, that teams play with desperation and added motivation, but how can you tell when they are or they aren’t without judging it solely on results?

The Bills had first and goal at the 7, ran the ball on first down for 5 yards. Followed that up with a play action pass on second down and then Trent audibled out of a run on third down. Tough to blame the coaches for not running on that drive.

I have no clue what you are talking about there. I actually went back and marked down every time the Bills did or didn’t blitz. Hill dropped back to pass 30 times and the Bills blitzed 11 times (37%). That is a pretty substantial amount, especially when you consider that blitzing was very unsuccessful. SF averaged 8.9 yards per pass play on the 9 plays that Buffalo blitzed and wasn’t penalized. Both of McKelvin’s penalties were on plays Buffalo blitzed. When the team rushed 4, SF only averaged 3 yards per pass play. All 3 of Buffalo’s sacks came when the team rushed 4. Vernon Davis’ offensive pass interference call also came when Buffalo rushed 4. I thought Buffalo’s front 4 had one of their very best games of the season and that the team got more pressure than they have had in a month or two.

That was the true problem the Bills had on Sunday. Poor QB play and an inability to finish drives. I have no answer to that question.
