That is it, I've had it
Absurd. Terrible. Horrible. Pathetic.
- I fancy myself an optimist, and when I've seen Dick Jauron torn apart, and other negative opinons on here I stay away mainly because I don't like to jump to conclusions. I like to let things play out a bit, and I don't like to condem players or coaches for a bad game, or even two. But I have now had my fill. After last years performance I thought that the O-Line would be a strength for this team. Even with Jason Peters hold out, after watching the Bills easily handle the Seahawks defense, I was very confident that the O-Line would be dominant and that Marshawn would enter into elite running back status. But now I have to ask a few questions:
- Does this line miss Brad Butler that much?
- I can see that Preston is not an NFL center, but is Fowler any better?
- Is McNally's retirement hurting this team?
- Has Trent now become "gun-shy"?
- Brian stated that the Bills have 3 winnable games coming up, but if this offense continues to play like this, the Bills will be lucky to win 1 of them. Honestly, with the way that the Browns looked on Thursday with Quinn at QB, and the fact that the Chiefs seem to have found something with Tyler Thigpen, can anybody here honestly say that those games are gimmies?
- I'm tired of seeing inept offensive play, and I had honestly thought that those days might just be behind us, I guess I was wrong.

you are right
in all those things…I’m on the same wave length. Always an optimist. But there is only so much one can handle. And now all we can do as fans, is try to block this out, get away from it all for 8 days, and come back next Monday and hope that the crowd, MNF, and the fans can carry this team to 6-4 and rejuvenate this team and their season.
Its sad, it sucks, I hate my life. but there is nothing we can do besides try to discuss this all as fans and try to come to some reasonable conclusions to understand what really is going on here. Ralph Wilson is a weird man. You think as he sits in his dying years, he is in love with Dick Jauron running his team? Does he really think Jauron will get him a Super Bowl? I wonder about Ralph. It would seem with your life to expire you would spend any amount, do anything possible to win. Yet, he doesn’t seem to be willing to do that.
This could all be verbal dribble as I’m so ticked off right now, but the buck has to stop somewhere. And Ralph, Modrak, Jauron, Fewell, Schonert, Edwards and the rest are all accountable. But I’ll alwasy say it comes back to Jauron/Fewell/Edwards/Schonert. They have to figure it out.

I don’t know. He’s been spending money, almost foolishly, so I’m not sure that can be criticized. Rather, I think he just doesn’t WANT to bring in another coach or GM, who could potentially butt heads with him. He’s had that in the past and at his age probably has no desire for it to happen again. Better coaching could really help some of our younger players become better, and maybe even into playmakers. I just feel Ralph doesn’t have the full desire that is probably needed. He may be content with saying he’s spending money and letting quality people run his organization even if the football end of it remains sub-par. I don’t know though. I hope that’s not the case, but I get that impression sometimes…..

- Does this line miss Brad Butler that much?
Yes, sure looks like it. The interior has been buckling like McGahee’s knee since he went out. Trent has seen a significant increase in pressure up the middle
- I can see that Preston is not an NFL center, but is Fowler any better?
No, they both are awful and should be out of the league next year. SHOULD
- Is McNally’s retirement hurting this team?
Maybe. It’s tough to tell as fans, but sure looks that way. They’ve all seen their play drop since last year, especially run blocking wise. It has to be a factor.
- Has Trent now become “gun-shy”?
Probably, but I hope not. If he is, then he might not have the grit and guts we need.

As the eternal optimist
I too will admit disgust. This is simply unacceptable. The only thing I can say is that this team is a playoff caliber team:
EXCEPT FOR RUN BLOCKING
We can not succeed until our offensive line starts blocking in the running game. It is now becoming disgusting. We have paid them enough money. Maybe Peters should have been at camp instead of trying to swindle money.
Also, why aren;t we taking shots down field with Evans?? What is this?

why aren't we taking shots down field with any body?
Parish, Hardy and Johnson are all capable of stretching the field with speed close to Evans’ yet those type of plays don’t seem to be in the book for those players. Or maybe it’s just deer in the headlights, check down Edwards that’s the problem. Or maybe Turk is just to damn conservitive and predictable.
Does anybody on this site not know that when Hardy goes in motion toward the line, a run play to the left is the call !! Please put some runs to the outside, some screens, anything different.
