How did you circumvent the 75 word minimum?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Fiction can be fun……..
Man I dont know where this came from…..
Is he getting the Rueben Brown treatment?
There has to be some sort of conspiracy to get Peters even more money in place here by someone……
What a joke

Peters has been very good this season… it’s just when he makes a mistake, it’s very visible.

I dont believe it.

Well, you’re either talking about him being a starter or being in the Pro Bowl at all. I assumed the latter, and Peters has played at a Pro Bowl level for a while now.

HAHAHA! Just when he makes mistakes huh? Yea, well JP Losman is really good, it’s just that he’s bad when he makes mistakes. So lets send him to the probowl too! Hell, lets get your boy Duke Preston in there and send Dick Jauron to Coach the Pro Bowl team. I mean, Dick is a good coach, it’s just when he makes mistakes that he’s bad.
After hearing that argument I think if the people Chris Berman NFL show would say C’MON MAN!!!!!

I can’t tell if you’re joking or not.
Pro Bowl players aren’t allowed to make mistakes?
People are WAY too into the “we still hate Peters for holding out” crap. He’s an excellent football player.

People are WAY too into the "we still hate Peters for holding out" crap. He’s an excellent football player.
I could be wrong, but I think a lot of this is bandwagon fodder. We need to get over this “but he held out” attitude and
A) Be proud that we have a guy in the pro bowl this year
B) Recognize & accept the fact that Peters is one of the better players at his position
And thanks to Ron, my eyes have been opened up to really watching o-lineman, and I must say that Peters is an absolute beast at times.

He is not the second best tackle in the AFC
I’m sorry. He may be good but he has given up way too many bad plays this year and didn’t even play in the first game. With O Line they so often vote on reputation. Oh well.
by MattRichWarren on Dec 16, 2008 4:21 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
yea, mattrichwarren is correct here. Peters has blown in too many times this season.

He
has been on fire from the Cleveland game on. Actually I’d say dominant the last 5 weeks. However very inconsistent the first 6-7 games. However, goes to show you that pro bowl is all about name recognition especially at OL. I mean seriously how many people really know how to evaluate good O-Line play?
Anyhow, the Bills had to get one player if I’m not mistaken, doesn’t every team have to have one guy?

lol yea. I mean what kind of question is that? Does he seriously think there are not a lot of people who can evaluate O-Line play? Ok then, I guess that’s an opinion. I would argue that A LOT of people can evaluate O-line play. Including every offensive line coach in the NFL. Interesting how starting linemen tend to be better than backup linemen. wonder how that works? talent evaluation perhaps?
by buffaloboy90 on Dec 16, 2008 8:16 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Your argument would be wrong. He’s saying that most fans vote for the offensive linemen that are merely names they recognize, because the average fan doesn’t give a rip about monitoring good offensive linemen.

Huh...
Well I guess we will have to draft a Center, since we’ll have no $$ to get a FA after Peters entitlement and Lee Evans’ extension.

I wouldn’t be so sure the Bills re-sign Peters. Ralph doens’t dish out a lot of big contracts. I actually think we will deal him.

oh god I could see the backlash from fans and national media for that......
trading a 2 time Pro Bowl LT in the prime of his career……thats something that Teams like the Bills would do……………

I’m not too sure it’s a bad idea though. Selling high? I would argue that he is overrated an replaceable. The value we could get for him would be great, not to mention the Bills wouldn’t be penalized any money to trade him. He is worth more than a 1st round pick, that is for sure. I"m starting to lick my chops.
I don’t think Bills fan’s would be too mad if we got good value for him. I could be wrong though, i mean a lot of fans would be mad.
by buffaloboy90 on Dec 16, 2008 8:24 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
now thats an argument I can agree with........very good sir......
I hadnt thought of that……yes the value for him would be outstanding……especially considering how cheap his contract is right now……..good on you.

But who would replace him? Langston? Demetrious Bell? lol, i have no idea if Bell is any good actually. But couldn’t we bring in someone decent through free agency that wouldn’t cost much money?
by buffaloboy90 on Dec 16, 2008 8:30 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Langston played LT during the time when Peters wasnt there......
so I think he could manage it…..plus if we trade him then we could draft a replacement (or trade for one?) not to mention try to develop Bell to play RT…..we would have many other options considering what we would get for Peters in a trade.

he’s “serviceable” at LT in a pinch but Peters is one of the top LT in the league and you keep those guys. His antics weren’t that unbecoming for anyone to be talking about trading the guy.

yikes!
Listen to you guys!!!! You’re talking about Langston Walker at LT, or Demetrius Bell or some cheap FA….You would trade Jason Peters to go through that just to get some draft picks?!?! Didn’t we see this franchise go through cheap FA linemen for 6-8 years until we finally lucked into Peters?
I love draft picks as much as the next guy, but I could never get behind trading Peters…

Unless the relationship is irrevokably hurt by something like the holdout.

Replaceable?
My Pro Bowl LT tree is still maturing in my back yard. Until then, good luck finding a replacement for him. Let’s use our high 1st rounder this year on a new, very unproven LT and hand him the money Peters has earned.
Ugh! You don’t just trade guys like this at positions like this.

When he didn’t go last year, I think it was the most shocking non-invite I had ever seen to the Pro Bowl. It just shows you how useless the whole event is.

Useless…just wait until they move it right before the Super Bowl, so that none of the Pro Bowlers playing in the Super Bowl will even go to Hawaii.

I came to see what the take on this would be here...
Ryan Clady is the best Tackle in the NFL, by far, and he got shafted from getting to go, ostensibly because he is a rookie. We’re all pretty furious at Mile High Report. Not to say that this is Peters’ fault, because I think Joe Thomas is equally questionable this season. They were both excellent last year, and both fell off this year. I’m going to visit Dawgs by Nature next, to see what they think there.

Pro Bowls are like the MLB all star game
It’s all about rep. Peters made it last year so that means he has to make it this year right?
Bleh…I couldn’t care any less about the pro bowl and who makes it. They can vote in J.P. for all I care. In fact lets let Jauron coach the thing.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

welll
Peter’s is undoubtedly a Pro Bowler when he plays like he has the last 5-6 games. He was rusty at the beginning of the season mostly cuz he was at IHOP eating pancakes, and holding out rather than playing football. That said, I was somewhat surprised to see him make it, but the Pro Bowl is so based on name recognition that because he went last year, and all the big writers in the media kiss his arse cuz they think he’s the best young LT in football, he gets to go again. I’m sure Clady was more than deserving, and his time will come, but its more politics than anything

HA! Trade Peters! HA! The Bills do that and you will see me get off the bandwagon REAL FAST. Peters is AWESOME. Great Build, good speed and great hands. Bills would be STUPID to trade him. Every player has their “BIFFS” but Peters is the Bills best o-lineman. Now if the Bills draft a C in the first round, I will throw my TV out the F****** window. I can promise you that!
