Coaching of the bills broncos game?

As i was not in buffalo this weekend i could not watch the game.  How was the coaching? I kno i heard the announcers saying that the coaches had some good play calls on d but idk thats just what the radio said. was this true? how was the oc? I liked the jenkins td and i think jenkins was the diamond in the rough of the draft.  some one update me about the game. i dont really want to read through all the jargon of the game day thread.  thanks

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Better than it’s been. Still a good number of questionable calls and decisions.

But a win is a win, so they were good enough.

yea – that reverse inside the redzone was a bit odd if you ask me. too short of a field to be going there, but I did like the screen pass that wasn’t completed to Roscoe down there. If completed, that may have went for a TD. Overall though – playcalling is getting better. Again – experience for our OC – i’m nervous about our defense however.

curious

why are u nervous about our d? everything ive heard was that the bills d made some really good calls. again idk thats just what i heard. and it wasnt buffalo announcers either it was the broncos which sucked…

They gave up well over 500 yards. What’s not to be nervous about?!?!?! HA

they still only gave up 23 pts (11 of which were the kickers 3 fg 2 xp). not a staggering amount of points were scored on them. they recovered 2 turnovers. not too shabby against a high powered offense. the d faced 72 plays and were on the field for more than 30 minutes of playing time. no not an amazing job but thats the bills defensive mentality bend but not break. although there were a lot of big yardage plays which is aggravating…

and that mentality is why our team stinks yearly. If we had a high octane offense, it’d be a different story..

The OC play-calling

I couldn’t watch the game but a friend who did said that it seemed as if we had changed coordinators during the previous week.

How about Mike Singletary on our sidelines? You think training camp might look a bit different?

well I will add my 2 cents on this:

Denver’s “D” isn’t all that great so plays were being made.

Regardless, Schonert is a rookie so he needs to learn and go through the ups and downs that the players go through thier first year. He has good plays – he really just needs to learn when to call them and how not to “tip” his hand. He will get this with experience…i’m not sure if he will get the chance though.

Denver has been outscored by more than 50 points or something this season hadn’t they? And one of the worst defenses in the league. So lets see how they do against NE who seems to be hitting their stride as much as they can without Brady. They’ve scored a ton of points the last few weeks and our “D” is soft.

Thing is

It’s not like Schonert has been bad because he’s simply made a poor play call here and there, he’s been bad because he refuses to stick to the run consistently and make smart calls A LOT.

Denver seemed to suffer from worse coaching in this game. They were killing the Bills’ O with the blitz in Q1, but went away from it for most of the rest of the game.

Also, Denver’s plan to kick the ball away from McKelvin on kickoffs really backfired as Fred Jackson made them pay several times.
