something to get excited about
i know that this season is all but over but yesterday gave me reason to be merry if you will. the play of three young rookies, made the future look a little more promising.
leodis Mckelvin- not the most solid of days but i thought he put the game away with that late interception, only to have another big play by our explosive rookie negated by penalty. (i.e. last weeks kick return)
Reggie Corner-what else can you say except WOW,what a fourth quarter. Cutler just kept attacking this kid and he simply continued to answer the bell. he was making big deflection after big deflection. kudos to you reggie.
Steve Johnson-this kid is really starting to come along well. he may not be 6'-6'' but he is all of the 6'-2'' he is listed at. so is this kid the real deal or what? i know that i am very dissapointed with hardy's lack of production and inability to "grasp'' the pro game. but it is nice to see that we have a big rookie wide reciever who isn't shy about getting in there and mixing it up.
All in all i think these young guys have come around well from the time they showed up here at one bills drive. lets hear some chatter out there this morning folks, (hey, I mean why not? the Bills have won a game)
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Johnson
I believe Steve Johnson is the real deal. During summer camp, he caught everything. He caught my eye before I even knew who was wearing #13.
How about Mike Singletary on our sidelines? You think training camp might look a bit different?
Johnson looks good, but needs to add 5 – 10 lbs, but overall I like him and, I think we havce to be patient with Hardy…not to mention he is injured. Personally, I think there is something wrong with Roscoe in the WR department as he appears to not be more than a punt returner, or a slot man used for screens and misdirection tye plays…he just hasn’t gotten there, and you can’t blame it all on the team. Good players get it done…anyway, Johnson and Hardy and Evans and Reed are a great foursome if the rooks mature properly and have Parrish as number 5 for returns an Jenkins number 6 as special teams ace.
McKelvin and Corner look great, so let Greer go if you can’t sign him for 4-5 mil, which might be a reach anyway. Let him go to the NFC and have success, I am glad and happy for a Bill who grew from Undrafted free agent to starter and playmaker…of course, maybe you don’t want to give up anyone, as McKelvin and Corner are rookies and Youboty will be around, so that would be a great secondary (grab a FS!!)
Pretty good rookie class from those four alone, too bad for Chris Ellis, and i hope Fine sticks, because he is a great blocker, and Schouman is a solid tweener, so now we need a Jason Witten type and we’re all set there
The Bills CAN win every game
I’d rather sign a vet WR in the offseason and let Jenkins leave. He hasn’t been that great on ST’s this year anyways. That vet can be a part of the 3 and 4 WR sets, since I think Hardy will take a while to get back up to speed. I’d rather have another quality WR than Roscoe.
I’m not all that impressed with Corner. He’s always a step behind the receiver and he got beat pretty badly a few times Sunday. Luckily he was able to recover on the final play, or luckily the Broncos didn’t have another 5 yards to play with…

"great"
I guess I am saying for rookies, Corner and McKelvin look great in terms of their potential for next season. I think both have improved over the past 4-5 games very well, even if we did get torched all last game (what Bills fans to be happy after almost 400 yards passing being racked up
I am not sure about Jenkins play exactly, but if there is someone else out there fine, but, I think Hardy can progress this offseason, but if it seems necessary to bring in a vet wr at least for competition’s sake, by all means. But I just don’t like Roscoe out on the offense…he seems to be a waste of a spot on the lineup and rarely makes plays.

Hardy
is still far away from extensive contribution. Wait for his 3rd year as a pro to judge. So we can’t wait for him next season; we definitely need a vet at the WR position. And I agree, Parrish is not the answer.
