Lynch & Stroud Named Pro Bowl Alternates
According to Chris Brown:
Lynch and Stroud alternates for Pro Bowl
By Chris Brown - Posted December 24th, 2008
Buffalobills.com has confirmed that Marshawn Lynch and Marcus Stroud were named alternates for the AFC squad for this year’s Pro Bowl.
Lynch is ranked fourth in the AFC this season in rushing with 1,036 yards on the season. He needs 80 this week to top his total from 2007.
Marcus Stroud is fourth on the team in tackles with 77 and is tied for second on the team in tackles for loss with 6. He also has 2.5 sacks.
Congrats to them both.

I know some folk think the Pro-Bowl is a joke, and I understand why, but it makes me feel kinda good that our guys (especially Lynch) are getting some well deserved recognition.
Merry Xmas Rumblers.....
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Fletcher
I’d like to see London Fletcher get in. He’s been shafted and the guy just produces. I think right there it shows what a joke the pro bowl is.
Maybe now you'll never slime a guy with a positron collider
it shows what a joke the pro bowl is
Which, of course, means the fact that Jason Peters made the Pro Bowl this year means nothing.
I don’t hate Peters. I don’t even want him traded. As Joe P. and norcal and a few others have expressed, I would be open to it if the right situation were available.
However, I am pointing out that MOST (not all) of the arguments that are made in his support are then contradicted by the same people. You can’t claim that Peters deserves to get paid more because he made the Pro Bowl again (or is a top 5 LT because he made the Pro Bowl again) and then in the next breath say the Pro Bowl is a joke. Well, you can claim such things, but in my book, that means I trust the judgment less of people who make such arguments. It suggests to me that people who make such arguments are blinded by the “star factor,” the same star factor that people detest in Favre, TO, etc. In my opinion, that “star factor” is argued away on behalf of Peters in a way that is simply too homer-ish.
Some people have given some good reasons to show Peters is the player he claims he is. For the most part, I believe that. What I want him to do is put up and shut up. I want to see him start admitting that he made a boneheaded, selfish decision that hurt his teammates and his team. Stop mouthing off to the fans. Stop claiming he’s such a great, deserving player and, instead, prove it a little more often.

Agreed,
If the Bills and Peters sit down and get this thing done by late Jan – early Feb, I will soften my stance on Peters. If it drags into the preseason again, I will be driving the trade his selfish, fat a$$ bandwagon.

I think Stroud and Marshawn both deserve this honor...
Peters didn’t. I don’t dislike Peters, just his off-field choices in regards to his contract. Here’s to a productive offseason and gettin Peters to OTAs on time.
