Twisted goalposts

PFT is reporting that the Bills game will go on in spite of the fact that the goal posts have been twisted by the wind. Yikes. They're going to get them fixed by game time, though whose to say it won't happen again. Kicking field goals into angled goal posts won't help Lindell....

On the plus side, we'll see how Edwards does in high wind. He did okay in Denver throwing a hunk of ice. If he can throw into the Ralph's swirling winds on a day when the wind is strong enough to bend metal then he's quite the man.

Poll
Will Edwards be effective in the wind today?
Yes. He'll be over 50% in terms of completions and have at least 3 completions of 20+ yards.

No. He'll be below 50% and not complete anything over 5 yards.

I voted yes, although he will most likely be somewhere in between the two poll options. A big part of my reasoning is that the winds are supposed to die down a little bit before the game and a little bit more during the game (I think). If the winds stay as bad as they have been all morning than Edwards is going to struggle big time and I would bet that Cassel struggles as well.

Goalposts look like they’re in the midst of being torn down during a celebration. That was crazy! Turn to ESPN, I’m sure Countdown will show it. NFL Network already showed them.

I voted No and it has more to do with the Pats D. I think we’ll play our typical scared game against New England and do nothing offensively.

OK, they just showed the goalposts on Countdown….HAHAHAHA, wow

too bad I couldnt place a bet that the Pats win 3-0 on a 52 yard field goal at the end of the game....

meanwhile Lindell misses 3 from inside 45 yards……

haha yeah right

we aren’t getting inside the 30 yard line 3 times today! Belichick will be stacking the line with probably 9 guys to stop Fred Jackson and forcing Edwards to try throwing beach balls. It’s going to be an ugly game, I just hope the D and ST’s can make a few plays….

Holy crap!

40 mph sustained winds with 60 mpg gusts! I guess we’ll see how the run blocking does against 11 in the box…

Unreal weather conditions

Never seen wind that bad. They are trying to figure out how to keep the goalposts upright. If this continues throughout the game, no field goals and very short passes. If we win the toss I hope we get the wind in the fourth Q.

everything goes better with a BIG MACK

Win the toss and defer….then kick off in the 2nd half as well if that’s still allowed. The Bills would have the wind in the 1st and 4th in that scenario…

I voted no

but lets be real……nobody can throw in that kind of wind.

Is it possible

that the game could be delayed? With the goal posts not upright, isn’t that some sort of competitive issue? They delayed the SD game because of no power, what about no goalposts??

Make the Pats go for 2

We have to know the Bills won’t be sniffing end zone paint today….

if it wasn’t against Belichick and the Pats, I’d expect more, but he owns us….

I was at the game and it was every bit of 40+ mph and 60+mph gusts. some gusts would be at your face and then immediately push you from behind. needless to say it wasn’t a very pleasant game to attend given the conditions of the team and weather.
