G.M. More Important

As much as I am not a Dick Jauron fan and don't believe he is that great a coach, I still think the Bills need to focus on getting a good General Manager, the likes of a Scott Pioli of New England. Face it, the Bills have been looking for over 15 years to find someone to replace Bill Polian. In the meantime, Polian has gone to Indy and has a ring and four straight 12 win seasons. His drafts have been exceptional, while the Bills have been terrible.

Jimmy Johnson was not a success in Miami, Bill Parcells was not successful with the Jets, and Mike Holmgren saw better days with the Rams. And the Falcons and Dolphins both won this season with "rookie" coaches. So why should we spend money on a coach that will not come to Buffalo anyhow, besides probably Schottenheimer. Shanahan and Cowher would never have come to Buffalo, plain and simple. Name one big name coach in the Bills history that has ever come to Buffalo, besides Chuck Knox? They would rather coach in warmer climates or larger markets.

The Bills should go after Scott Pioli before Cleveland gets him and draft defensive lineman and offensive lineman. Look at Tennessee, the Panthers, Giants, Falcons, Ravens, etc., as prime examples of teams winning without a big name QB, but with a stellar offensive line and defense!

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
