Champions

We are the champions---it may not be the Buffalo Bills but it may be as close as any of us will ever come to a champion in our life time.  But lets celabrate the fact that the University of New York at Buffalo (UB for those of you old enough to remember) is the Champion of the Mid-America Conferance as they beat the Ball State team last friday night.  Ball State was undefeated coming into the game and a ranked team not sure what number they were.  With this good news why not add Turner Gills name to those for the new head coach of the Bills.

UB

First of all its called UB more often than the State University of New York at Buffalo. Second, we have not accepted the bowl game in toronto yet, but its better that its there than in Detroit or Alaska as those are the other two options. Third, Turner Gil is a great coach but hes not leaving UB in the next 2 seasons hes on record for saying that too.

yeah they did
After the game, the school announced that it had officially accepted a bid to play in the International Bowl on Jan. 3 in Toronto.

that quote is directly from this buffalo news story.

international bowl website – sure looks like they accepted.

Turner Gill

Auburn has apparently requested to interview Turner Gill according to ESPN.com

Wow

That would be a huge step. Congrats to the Bulls and Turner Gill on a successful run of the last few years.

cuse

he already interviewed for the syracuse job.

the UB athletic director says that if one of these bigger schools come offering big money, there is no way they can match it. gill got $263000 this season and both syracuse and auburn’s coaches had salaries over a million. i hope he stays but if he leaves, he’s earned it.
