I know everybody here has gotten into the habit of saying we need a "big #2 WR." But who's to say that if Bryant Johnson is signed that he won't be the "#1 WR?" Lee Evans would be a MUCH more effective receiver if he is not the primary route on every play. A lot of people knock Evans for not getting open, when we really should be knocking PP, Josh Reed, and Roscoe Parrish for not taking advantage of coverages designed for Lee Evans. Either way you look at it, Evans and Johnson should free each other up quite a bit, especially if we're effective running the ball. Imagine a 3 WR set with Evans, Johnson, Parrish, and Troupe all out on routes and Marshawn coming out of the backfield. That's enough to get me pumped. Somebody's is going to get beat on EVERY play.
Then in the red zone we can mix it up and put Troupe, Teyo Johnson, and Robert Royal in there and just toss the ball into the end zone.
The possibilities are endless!!!!!
