ProFootballWeekly.com is reporting that Russ Brandon was giving the party line answer, so to speak, when he said that J.P. Losman wouldn't be traded. The fact is that if the Bills get a solid offer (3rd or 4th rounder in '08 in the deal is done soon enough, or '09) then J.P. could be had.
This makes some sense, in that the Bills are trying to get something for Losman, who they traded up, and paid a hefty price to get, before he leaves. The deal does have plenty of risks however, in that losing Losman leaves the Bills with Edwards and Hamdan as the only QB's on the roster. The Bills would have to either acquire a vet or draft another QB to replace Losman.
Getting picks for Losman could be a good thing, but if Edwards gets hurt and the Bills have to lean on Hamdan, a rookie, or a vet like Dante Culpepper, then it could be a very bad thing.
