Haha, congrats!
Interesting Felix Jones pick there over Mendenhall. Think Rashard goes to the Steelers now?

That's BS - it was my idea to move to a new thread.
How could you call “First” ahead of me? It’s like calling “shotgun” w/o seeing the car…
I think Medenhall might make it to the Steeler's it would give them a solid backup
but good move by Dallas
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
Yeah. Mendenhall to the Steelers. Just saw him on the phone on ESPN.

Could Houston
trade back up. Pitt needs O-line and there is no one there. makes sense to trade out
by RabidBuffalo on Apr 26, 2008 5:43 PM EDT up reply actions
Strange pick by Dallas
Jones and Mendenhall were both on the board an no one before pick #28 needs a RB
They'll take Sweed if Young has any say in it....
Why not pick him if he’ll make Young better at QB?
i'm sick of the showing them on the phone....
what’s the point of the commish walking to the podium?
Sweed or Thomas for Tenn
They need some speed, so even Jackson makes some sense
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
Solid pick by Steeler's getting Medenhall
They’ll be tough to beat on the road since none of the better quality O-lineman were avaialable at that time to take. Insurance against PArker getting hurt again, no solid backups on their team.
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
Really good pick by Pittsburgh.
Their second round pick should be a motorcycle helmet for Big Ben, with a muzzle…
Injuries
Everyone is trying to guard against people going down with injuries. Steeler’s found that out last season, so makes sense to me.
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
Coverage
ESPN’s is way better than the NFL networks.
My bet is Tenn goes DeSean, or Thomas for WR.
They need to get Young some weapons.
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
That he does. Looks like Devin Thomas is the pick to the Titans.

Drew Rosenhaus is a fool
Devin Thomas is on TV and you see Dreww toss him a phone what a jerk.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
What was the story again..
With Rosen-jerking-haus trying to trick the Bills while pretending to be on the phone with someone? I forget..
The key is he caught it. Kid’s got good hands…

Wow!
Buffalo should get on the phone with the Texans if they aren’t already. A 2nd this year and next should be more than enough to get the #26 pick… The Chargers made it known that they want out of the first round…
wtf, what is up with Tenn, they got a RB, when they are desperate for a WR
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
listen I have to go out in five and Im pissed,
Ill see everyone later.
The bloggerformelyknownasBigBaddBubbaJ
TEN has lendale who stinks
Would you rather win one superbowl or Lose four in a row? Which defines your teams place in history more ... 1yr wonder or Perennially 2nd best?
My wife is giving me the look....
I don’t give a $%^^&x%x$$##. No sex tonight, but it is worth it!!!!
Seattle goes WR or TE
Both spots along with DT are their big holes. No one left as far as DTs who grade out in the 1st, so I think a TE or WR goes there.
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
Tenn could have used MErling as well
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
wow
people are really obsessed with jordy nelson on here. is it just me or why would we not take thomas/sweed/kelly/hardy, whoever is there?
Nelson is a Plan B to the top four guys, and a legitimate second-round option for the Bills. Keep your fingers crossed that the wideouts keep sliding…

Glad you’re here. We’ll be here all day tomorrow to. :)

I am in shock
I want Hardy, Thomas must have some major Q marks that a lot of teams know about. Hardy will be the great red zone threat. I would give up 2nd and third to get Hardy.
Clocks running long
Could be a trade
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
I was right
Just not the Bills
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
Dallas will be getting Thomas is my guess
Thats the only reason to trade with Seattle
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
They like corner too though. My guess is Jenkins or Cason. Fingers crossed…

Teams who need WR help
25 Seahawks (who are their WRs again?)
26 Texans (need friend for Andre Johnson)
28 Dallas (ESPN says they won’t take a WR)
32 G-Men (Toomer is getting old)
33 Dolphins (Ginn isn’t getting it done by himself)
34 Rams (just lost Bruce)
35 Redskins (mortal lock for a big WR)
36 Raiders (got someone to run the ball and could use someone to throw to)
38 Jets (need weapons for whichever noodle armed guy is at QB)
40 Ravens (Mason is slowing down)
41 Bengals (replace Henry and possibly Johnson)
That’s a lot of bullets to dodge…
Can you image if we end up with Thomas and Jordy... or Sweed and Kelly
... basically 2 of our top 4… and both outside of the 1st round… that would be a dream for us.
These are really good points..
I don’t know if even I could make an argument here. The only way to dodge some of those bullets is to hope that many of these teams will be taking the BPA.
Still don’t think I’d want to move up though..
some okay points
a bit pessimistic though. seahawks, texans and g-men have fine wrs though. plus most those teams have much more pressing needs
I'd say one bullet down
but Dallas wasn’t the most likely to take a WR and Seattle is sitting there at #28.
10 to go
If 4 of those teams go a direction other than WR or TE then the Bills will get one of the top 3 WRs or TEs on their board. Unless they decide they need another corner.
Love it
Buffalo could end up grabbing the best CB/KR in the draft and the best WR in the draft if they wait for Sweed. No WRs have been taken and I believe Thomas, Hardy, and Kelly could go before Sweed…wait until 41, grab Sweed, and trade up in round 2 to take Fred Davis. Jeremy Zuttah in round 4 to play center…here come the Bills.
Never forget 56-10. Revenge.
There have been reports that the Bills have sweetened on Sweed over the last week or so. This is getting crazy…

I don't get that...
I thought the BIlls once said they go by film. I always thought he was good (not high first round good). That injury still scares me though..
Starting to think Bills got cold feet on the trading front
With the sheer amount of action up and down the board today, I’m wondering if the Bills got scared, pooped their pants and didn’t want to run with the big dogs to get more picks and players.
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
why? its playing right into our hands... we got our pick of all the WRs, TEs.. and may have Cason too.
Yeah, I don't think they have cold feet either.
Only 13 teams have traded so far today; that leaves 19 that haven’t moved.
I nominate
Salma Hayek for our celebrity cheerleader. She will help us get a great WR or TE at 41. Can’t believe the WR’s and Te’s are slipping this much.

great pick
never thought he would have fell this far
good pick by the Chargers
thats a good move
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
Definitely. The WRs slipping makes it look good as well. Keep on a-slidin’, fellas…

Gotta admit
I wasn’t high on this pick to start, knowing our need for a WR… But things may be playing out great for us…
yup
Alot of that’s lucl because you can’t predict how the runs will go, but the activity since 11 makes McKelvin look like an awesome pick.
Never forget 56-10. Revenge.
I say the odds of Seattle taking a WR or TE is 50-50 now
They may go with Ballmer from UNCST
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
why would they do that?
maybe te, but dont they have deion branch, bobby engram and nate burleson ( iknow they arent that grreat, but theyre ok)?
Kurupt is playing football with his buddies today. Loser…

WHOA, didn't see that pick coming from the Seahawks
thats a different one
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
I don't know half these guys that are being drafted this year. A lot of the name players are still on the board, many of the ones we've talked about
Bills Fan in PA
OK
If there is a run of WR, merling or Balmer could be there and leave things interesting
My board
Hardy
Thomas
Merling
Nelson
Balmer
Kelly
Flowers
49ers take Balmer. WRs slipping into the 30s!

Trading up
A lot of teams could start to look at trading up to get a WR. Hopefully Buffalo is one of them. We’re getting into the territory where a 2nd this year and a pair of 4ths (this years and next—can’t trade comp pick) could get the Bills anywhere from 32-35ish
Agreed Ron. They’re in a position to get McKelvin and the WR OF THEIR CHOICE. Of their choice, man!
by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT up reply actions
Brian/Ron
What are your ideas of trading up here? And to get who? You both know my feelings on WRs and trading up. Please, do some convincing..
Absolutely no idea. I’m not going to try to guess. The point is the option is there. They very well could make a move.

Phone
Does everyone believe THomas is still on the phone?
I think the Bills need to make sure to get Hardy, Keller and maybe another WR
I want Reed off the team and Roscoe as a PR only.
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
Awesome
Now we’re taking! I’ll shut up now because this draft is going great.
Never forget 56-10. Revenge.
Either a WR or Brandon Flowers, methinks. Although Merling might be an option as well…
by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT up reply actions
Jets
That is annoying. Which WR is it? Please be anyone but Hardy.
to beat out giants
i think it could be merling
We dont need to trade up.
With all the receivers still on the board we can still get a good one at 41. This draft is turning out perfectly for us.
Wood
first TE off the board

Jets are suppossedly after Keller
Great job bills, by sitting on your hands you let one of the guys we needed go to a rival.
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
Now the Bills are going to overreact probabbly and give away the farm
Oh, sorry, to many years of seeing us do this has caught up to me today
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
No...
wait at 41 and grab Sweed…trade up after that and grab a TE…Keller is great, but he’s an H-back anyway. I’d rather have Davis.
Never forget 56-10. Revenge.
Thinkin’ about it… I’ll let you know.
