Keep

those receivers on the board!!!

by Cinga on Apr 26, 2008 5:40 PM EDT reply actions

Yes!!!

The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

by sireric on Apr 26, 2008 5:40 PM EDT up reply actions

I think Medenhall might make it to the Steeler's it would give them a solid backup

but good move by Dallas

Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....

Wishful thinking

Big Ben has publicly whined for a big WR.

by Ron From NM on Apr 26, 2008 5:41 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah. Mendenhall to the Steelers. Just saw him on the phone on ESPN.

by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 5:41 PM EDT up reply actions

Could Houston

trade back up. Pitt needs O-line and there is no one there. makes sense to trade out

by RabidBuffalo on Apr 26, 2008 5:43 PM EDT up reply actions

Strange pick by Dallas

Jones and Mendenhall were both on the board an no one before pick #28 needs a RB

by Ron From NM on Apr 26, 2008 5:41 PM EDT reply actions

i'm sick of the showing them on the phone....

what’s the point of the commish walking to the podium?

by osmanBAE on Apr 26, 2008 5:42 PM EDT reply actions

Sweed or Thomas for Tenn

They need some speed, so even Jackson makes some sense

Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....

by WABillsfan on Apr 26, 2008 5:42 PM EDT reply actions

Here we are

into the 20’s and not a WR yet. Good omen. Go BIlls!!!

by Enigma3 on Apr 26, 2008 5:43 PM EDT reply actions

Wow!

I can’t believe they took Mendenhall with Willie Parker on the team.

by Ron From NM on Apr 26, 2008 5:44 PM EDT reply actions

Parker is coming off knee surgery.

The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

by sireric on Apr 26, 2008 5:45 PM EDT up reply actions

Solid pick by Steeler's getting Medenhall

They’ll be tough to beat on the road since none of the better quality O-lineman were avaialable at that time to take. Insurance against PArker getting hurt again, no solid backups on their team.

Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....

by WABillsfan on Apr 26, 2008 5:45 PM EDT reply actions

Tenn

They will start the run on Wide outs….

by Cinga on Apr 26, 2008 5:45 PM EDT reply actions

Shocking

Multipy RB’s is the theme this year.

by RabidBuffalo on Apr 26, 2008 5:45 PM EDT reply actions

Really good pick by Pittsburgh.

Their second round pick should be a motorcycle helmet for Big Ben, with a muzzle…

by krytime on Apr 26, 2008 5:46 PM EDT reply actions

Injuries

Everyone is trying to guard against people going down with injuries. Steeler’s found that out last season, so makes sense to me.

Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....

Coverage

ESPN’s is way better than the NFL networks.

by mckelvin on Apr 26, 2008 5:46 PM EDT reply actions

Seattle

Look for us to trade with Seattle and grab Hardy.

by the Skycap on Apr 26, 2008 5:46 PM EDT reply actions

My bet is Tenn goes DeSean, or Thomas for WR.

They need to get Young some weapons.

Drew Rosenhaus is a fool

Devin Thomas is on TV and you see Dreww toss him a phone what a jerk.

The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

by sireric on Apr 26, 2008 5:48 PM EDT reply actions

What was the story again..

With Rosen-jerking-haus trying to trick the Bills while pretending to be on the phone with someone? I forget..

Yeah

with the Mcgayshe pick…

by Cinga on Apr 26, 2008 5:50 PM EDT up reply actions

by sireric on Apr 26, 2008 5:51 PM EDT reply actions

Wow!

Buffalo should get on the phone with the Texans if they aren’t already. A 2nd this year and next should be more than enough to get the #26 pick… The Chargers made it known that they want out of the first round…

it wasn’t Bills draft day!!!

by Cinga on Apr 26, 2008 5:58 PM EDT up reply actions

Seattle goes WR or TE

Both spots along with DT are their big holes. No one left as far as DTs who grade out in the 1st, so I think a TE or WR goes there.

Mother of Mercy

Now we’re getting interesting!

by Enigma3 on Apr 26, 2008 5:55 PM EDT reply actions

wow

people are really obsessed with jordy nelson on here. is it just me or why would we not take thomas/sweed/kelly/hardy, whoever is there?

by thejimbo on Apr 26, 2008 5:57 PM EDT reply actions

Nelson is a Plan B to the top four guys, and a legitimate second-round option for the Bills. Keep your fingers crossed that the wideouts keep sliding…

by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 5:58 PM EDT up reply actions

Five if you include DeSean Jackson

Of course, the Bills don’t want Jackson since he’s too short.

I agree

Check in at RF365. Not even close!!!

by Joe P. on Apr 26, 2008 5:58 PM EDT up reply actions

I am in shock

I want Hardy, Thomas must have some major Q marks that a lot of teams know about. Hardy will be the great red zone threat. I would give up 2nd and third to get Hardy.

by Berg79 on Apr 26, 2008 5:58 PM EDT reply actions

Clocks running long

Could be a trade

I was right

Just not the Bills

Dallas moves up. WR? Cason.

by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 5:59 PM EDT up reply actions

Agree

Cason, I think also.

by Krenn on Apr 26, 2008 6:00 PM EDT up reply actions

Dallas trade

here. WR more than likely. How many times have we said that?

by RabidBuffalo on Apr 26, 2008 5:59 PM EDT reply actions

Dallas will be getting Thomas is my guess

Thats the only reason to trade with Seattle

Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....

by WABillsfan on Apr 26, 2008 5:59 PM EDT reply actions

They like corner too though. My guess is Jenkins or Cason. Fingers crossed…

by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 6:00 PM EDT up reply actions

Teams who need WR help

25 Seahawks (who are their WRs again?)
26 Texans (need friend for Andre Johnson)
28 Dallas (ESPN says they won’t take a WR)
32 G-Men (Toomer is getting old)
33 Dolphins (Ginn isn’t getting it done by himself)
34 Rams (just lost Bruce)
35 Redskins (mortal lock for a big WR)
36 Raiders (got someone to run the ball and could use someone to throw to)
38 Jets (need weapons for whichever noodle armed guy is at QB)
40 Ravens (Mason is slowing down)
41 Bengals (replace Henry and possibly Johnson)

That’s a lot of bullets to dodge…

by Ron From NM on Apr 26, 2008 6:00 PM EDT reply actions

Can you image if we end up with Thomas and Jordy... or Sweed and Kelly

... basically 2 of our top 4… and both outside of the 1st round… that would be a dream for us.

by osmanBAE on Apr 26, 2008 6:02 PM EDT up reply actions

These are really good points..

I don’t know if even I could make an argument here. The only way to dodge some of those bullets is to hope that many of these teams will be taking the BPA.

Still don’t think I’d want to move up though..

by krytime on Apr 26, 2008 6:02 PM EDT up reply actions

Except...

Oakland’s not at 36; they traded out. And the Bengals are at 46, not 41.
Doubt the Giants would take a WR; they have Burress and Steve 2. Smith.

by Krenn on Apr 26, 2008 6:03 PM EDT up reply actions

some okay points

a bit pessimistic though. seahawks, texans and g-men have fine wrs though. plus most those teams have much more pressing needs

by thejimbo on Apr 26, 2008 6:06 PM EDT up reply actions

I'd say one bullet down

but Dallas wasn’t the most likely to take a WR and Seattle is sitting there at #28.

by Ron From NM on Apr 26, 2008 6:01 PM EDT reply actions

I agree, but

every bullet dodged brings us one spot closer to our choice at WR or TE.

by Joe P. on Apr 26, 2008 6:02 PM EDT up reply actions

10 to go

If 4 of those teams go a direction other than WR or TE then the Bills will get one of the top 3 WRs or TEs on their board. Unless they decide they need another corner.

by Ron From NM on Apr 26, 2008 6:04 PM EDT up reply actions

Love it

Buffalo could end up grabbing the best CB/KR in the draft and the best WR in the draft if they wait for Sweed. No WRs have been taken and I believe Thomas, Hardy, and Kelly could go before Sweed…wait until 41, grab Sweed, and trade up in round 2 to take Fred Davis. Jeremy Zuttah in round 4 to play center…here come the Bills.

Never forget 56-10. Revenge.

by SuperFan82 on Apr 26, 2008 6:01 PM EDT reply actions

There have been reports that the Bills have sweetened on Sweed over the last week or so. This is getting crazy…

by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 6:02 PM EDT up reply actions

I don't get that...

I thought the BIlls once said they go by film. I always thought he was good (not high first round good). That injury still scares me though..

by krytime on Apr 26, 2008 6:05 PM EDT up reply actions

Starting to think Bills got cold feet on the trading front

With the sheer amount of action up and down the board today, I’m wondering if the Bills got scared, pooped their pants and didn’t want to run with the big dogs to get more picks and players.

Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....

by WABillsfan on Apr 26, 2008 6:04 PM EDT reply actions

Disagree

They are playing it cool. Once the run starts, then see if they try to trade.

by Joe P. on Apr 26, 2008 6:05 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, I don't think they have cold feet either.

Only 13 teams have traded so far today; that leaves 19 that haven’t moved.

by Krenn on Apr 26, 2008 6:07 PM EDT up reply actions

Best bets for trade up....

left are prolly Seattle and GB… Both like to trade down…

by Cinga on Apr 26, 2008 6:04 PM EDT reply actions

I nominate

Salma Hayek for our celebrity cheerleader. She will help us get a great WR or TE at 41. Can’t believe the WR’s and Te’s are slipping this much.

49ers take Balmer. WRs slipping into the 30s!

by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 6:19 PM EDT reply actions

Trading up

A lot of teams could start to look at trading up to get a WR. Hopefully Buffalo is one of them. We’re getting into the territory where a 2nd this year and a pair of 4ths (this years and next—can’t trade comp pick) could get the Bills anywhere from 32-35ish

by Ron From NM on Apr 26, 2008 6:20 PM EDT reply actions

Agreed Ron. They’re in a position to get McKelvin and the WR OF THEIR CHOICE. Of their choice, man!

by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 6:21 PM EDT up reply actions

What are your ideas of trading up here? And to get who? You both know my feelings on WRs and trading up. Please, do some convincing..

by krytime on Apr 26, 2008 6:23 PM EDT up reply actions
