Can't believe I never asked this question...
Would any of you take Jordy Nelson over Kelly, Hardy, Sweed, or Thomas?
Hmmm
I gotta go
Thomas
Sweed
Nelson
Jackson

Sweed

Would you rather win one superbowl or Lose four in a row? Which defines your teams place in history more ... 1yr wonder or Perennially 2nd best?
well since nobody has it
id go
Thomas
Hardy
Kelly
Sweed
Nelson
I’ll say now that the Rams would be crazy to not take Devin Thomas right now at 33.

Gotta admit
Never dreamed that all of them would fall this far…. I’ll be happy with any of the top 3 wide outs at this point…
???
should we use a fourth and move up now?
Wood
General Point
Too many teams have passed on WR for any one of them to be that much better than another. Teams must think 3-5 of them are all the same.
Avery first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FIRST RECEIVER GONE…. and it’s Houston’s Donnie Avery?!

Fastest
WR in draft. Sub 4.4 speed. Rams play inside on turf so it makes some sense, not much, but some.

of our pick of Roscoe Parrish

First WR off the board is...
Donnie Avery?????
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
Yes just got announced on ESPN

am I really drunk?
Yes, but what the hell is happening with the WRs? If the Bills get Kelly or Hardy without trading up this has to be considered awesome.

Devin Thomas to Washington at 34… ‘twas too good to be true.

Still options. Sweed or Kelly looking likely. My money’s on Kelly…

cbs
if the best available player is a CB, will the Bills shock the world? Or at least cause this site to explode?
ESPN better get in the game…this is ridiculous…they better keep up or people are gonna get sick of this

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!
Screw you Packers
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
NElson
Went to GB…surprising. Get Hardy at all costs.
Oh yeah, Hardy
or Kelly or Sweed. What a great first day it will be
4 picks to go. 3 receivers that would be EXCELLENT picks for Buffalo (Sweed, Kelly, Hardy). We’re in good shape, Bills fans…

You know...
Who would have thought Nelson and Avery would go before Sweed, Kelly, Hardy, or Jackson?
Not sure why people are upset.
The draft has been unfolding nicely. The Bills have lost out on Thomas (one year wonder), Nelson (not elite level speed) and Avery (ugh, sure).
I am not a happy camper right now
Bills should have sold the #11 pick and taken what we could have gotten for it. I really think we needed Nelson and either Hardy or Sweed.
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
That’s a bit ambitious. That would have been ridiculously difficult to pull off.
by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 6:54 PM EDT up reply actions
Nelson while not an elite runner is a very solid over the middle WR
Meaning he is where Trent wants to throw the ball on check downs
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
4.51 not elite but fast enough in the NFL

Nelson’s a slot guy…Limas Sweed! Unfortunately, I fear we’ll take the woman=beating hardy, but I’d be psyched for Sweed )or even Kelly)...trade up for Davis after that.

They seem to avoid it after Goodell sits down
It is shown on the bottom of the screen, though. Lofton selected by the Falcons.
Stupid Time Warner Cable
I don’t get NFLN
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
Jackson, Kelly and Sweed are on the board
Let’s hope one of the 3 teams in front of Buffalo takes Jackson and one doesn’t want a big WR…
Let's not assume it'll be a WR
Remember, this is OBD. They’ve shocked you in the past, have they not?
It had better be
The only other thing it could be is a TE but to get Sweed or Kelly here would be better overall. Poz’s old running mate is on the board.
Swahawks trade….
Gotta be a quarterback for Seattle. They like Brohm.
by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 6:59 PM EDT up reply actions
Makes sense.
He would be good in the West Coast offense like Seattle. And Hasselbeck is getting old.
Or a tight end? John Carlson! We’re in the clear… one of the 3 big WRs will be there.
by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 7:00 PM EDT up reply actions
Golly, you want a WR, don't you?
At this point in the draft, I might not argue with one of these guys…
Don't think it could have been much better!!!
I think we should be happy at what we have and where we stack up in finding a WR.
Nelson
Jordy Nelson = Matt Jones.
Glad he’s off the board before we could grab him
I know he's not big...
But I really like Doucet.
I know.
That Is why I prefaced it with not being big. He doesn’t really fit what Buffalo needs right now, but I think he will end up being one of the more productive wideouts.

I wanted two good WRs out of this draft as insurance against Evans
I’m afraid he will want Berrian money and not sure if he is worth it. We could weather that better if we say had Hardy and Nelson on the team. Oh well.
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
Gotta
make up for it.
They better not be in a comercial when Buffalo picks
by RabidBuffalo on Apr 26, 2008 7:04 PM EDT up reply actions
I'm worried it will be Hardy
He should be in jail, not in position to make a 7 figure salary. Sweed or Kelly!
Never forget 56-10. Revenge.
Buffalo’s front office is not concerned with Hardy’s character issues. That much is certain.
by Brian Galliford on Apr 26, 2008 7:05 PM EDT up reply actions
Should the Bills trade down if 3 WRs are on the board at 41? ;)

in 2004? I beleive. He was the long snapper for a year but he was listed as a TE.

I love dan Conner, but if we go conner kiss crowell goodbye

Hrady and Bennett/Davis
I like the fact Hardy is like PLaxico Burress and I think Trent needs a guy like that. And I think either Bennett or Davis would make for a very nice safety valve for Trent. I like Bennett slightly more than Davis since he is a bit more of a “complete” player in that he can run block
Fear the mighty helmet wearing gopher, he is coming for your soul....
James Hardy is a criminal
The Bills might try and talk themselves into him because he’s a need player with talent, but don’t let it fool you…he’s a loser that shouldn’t be taken this high…stay away. 1-Sweed 2-Davis 3- Kelly 4- Anyone 5- Hardy. Hardy will be out of the league by the 20111 strike.

New Orleans takes CB Tracy Porter.

Yes, let’s see a in-depth study of someone who won’t be drafted for 3 more picks at least – Chad Henne…
HARDY!!!!!!!

remember lynch had the same type of off field concerns

Lynch didn't do it
Read the old Indianaplos Star articles…Hardy’s a joke od a human being.
Never forget 56-10. Revenge.
Read up first and get back to me
We’ll talk then…bad guy, wimpy football player…awful pick.
Never forget 56-10. Revenge.
Joke of Human is too far
People make bad decisions, have issues and they can change. Hardy has had nothing since 2006, let’s hope he really has turned the page.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted him at pick 11. YES!!!!!!!!!!!! yOu will all love him. He is a red zone animal. Awesome!!!!!! I just picked up my 220 lb brother over my shoulder. Hell yeah!!!
He really looks like
he could be the next Randy Moss, in more ways than one. Need a mentor to keep him motivated.
I am off again.
Have fun. I will try to catch up later tonight. We have to be pleased so far. Go Bills!!!!
I'll see ya tomorrow
As far as I’m concerned the draft is over for the day! Yeaaaah baby. Unless they trade up for a tight end. Doubt it. Look for Brad Cottam in the 3rd or 4th. Cinga, if they still get Bowman later I’‘ll be like a kid in toyland. Superfan82 don’t you think the Bills did their homework on Hardy. Did he take your lunch money?
Bills are great at character evals
The last few years they have drafted character. I am going to guess if they really felt character was a problem at this point, he would not have been selected.
Bills had their pick of tall WR's
They had Sweed, Kelly and Hardy available and they chose Hardy. His character concerns are not that big to the Bills brass otherwise they would have gone another direction today. I will trust they got the right guy today and they got the clear #1 corner I would say it is a great day for the Bills. Get a TE early tomorrow and it will be perfect!
My Take
Two good picks by the Bills.
McKelvin will provide some good CB depth and be a dynamic return man until he’s ready. Hardy meanwhile will be a stud in the red zone. His size and speed will be a great compliment to Lee and if the Bills can pick up a pass catching TE this offense will take off. As far as Hardy’s issues go, I’m not worried. His problems have been well profiled and iff the Bills had too many doubts he would not have been picked.
The Bills still need to add a TE and line help both offense and defense.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
