Teyo Johnson or Courtney Anderson
The more I think of it, the more I am getting excited over finding a catching TE from one of Teyo Johnson and Courtney Anderson. They are actually the same player -- same height, (6 foot 6 inches!!!), weight (260-70), catching ability, age (27), Oakland-tradition. Even their performances over the years are about the same (really, lack of opportunity -- perhaps with good reasons). I gather, given the draft and FA acquisitions, that the Bills will choose one of the two to be our receiving TE -- and both these guys are taller, bigger and better catchers than most TEs (its the other stuff they are so flawed at). Johnson has a better bloodline resume (Stanford, 2nd round pick, WR background) and Anderson has better performance in the pros (was he the reason Teyo was benched in Oakland -- but not by much). It will be interesting who comes out as the "extra" wide receiver we have been looking for. My bet is on Teyo Johnson, but I presume the early money is on Courtney Anderson.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

I’m with you on Johnson – I think these two guys are different players. I think they see Anderson as more of an in-line guy, with Johnson as an occasional in-line guy who can line up in the slot as well. I think they’ve got 2 in-line guys in Royal and Fine now. If they keep four tight ends, I think both of these guys will make the team over Schouman, but I think Johnson has a better chance of seeing the field.

From Short to Tall
I like going from 6-3 Gaines and 5-10/9 Reed/Parrish to 6-6 Johnson and 6-6 Hardy. We gained a foot! I think with wingspan and jumping (Hardy jumps phenomenally; Gaines looked like he had negative leap), we probably gained 3 feet! OBD really took seriously the height issue.

Agree with you both on Johnson
He was a great low-risk, high-reward pickup. His struggled with the position change from WR to TE early in his career and injuries have prevented him from showing the progress he has made. I don’t expect huge numbers from Teyo, but I expect him to make the team and look really impressive when he is on the field.
Schouman won’t make this team. Fine is the same type of player, but better.
I honestly don’t know what to expect from Courtney Anderson.

Old teammates
You think Johnson and Anderson have any animosity towards each other? They were competing for the same spot in Oakland are doing the same thing again this year with Royal and Fine thrown in the mix. That and the position battle at corner should prove to be the most interesting.
