Mayock's Bills Mock Pick

Mike Mayock, who was one of the only draft gurus to have the Bills pick Donte Whitner in 2006, has a video on Nfl.com (mock picks 11-20) and has the Bills picking Tenn State CB Rogers-Comrartie.
He opens by saying not enough value at #11 at WR and then makes his case for the corner.
This of course depends on whether he is there or not, but personally, I like the pick granted there are other receivers in the later rds that can make an impact.
However, I can argue that CB could be just as great a need as WR, especially if you have questions about McGee as a number one, which I definitely do, much more so than Lee Evans as a top wideout.
If this is the pick I am happy, but only if we still can nab at least two offensive weapons later at WR and TE.

Getting a CB in round 1
IMO, WR and TE have to be two out of the three top picks. So if we take a CB or DE in round 1, we are going to go WR in round 2 and then TE in round 3.

Yes
That was my thought as well. My knowledge of the WR class past the "Top 5" is minimal, but just as there have been, gems can be found in the later rounds as everyone is aware. However, I think that it is possible that Te may have a steeper decline, so if you go CB in Rd 1, you might have to address TE in Rd 2, just because you can guarantee one of the top TEs you have on the board, as it is probably a crap shoot at WR after the "Top 5" guys.

Walter Football did a similar mock, apparently a reader who is in the know, let him in on the fact that this trade is a real possibility. stay tuned.

that's interesting....
and would be awesome if the Bills  got one of the TOP WRs as well.

That would automatically make the defense very good.  Of course, the contract issue is always a concern....

Would be good
Wonder if we would have to resign the Eagles CB and what that would cost?
However, w would still be able to get one of the top WRs, an upgrade at CB and still plenty of picks.

Kelly workout
is going to have a lot to do with it.  If he can't work out or times slow, then I believe it. Hard to believe, but at this late stage, more information is still to be had.

I trust....
Mayocks opinion, but boy do i not like DCR.  I think he is so overhyped right now.  He has major boom or bust written all over him...
