I don't personally care very much if Kelly ran slow. I expected him to. The kid hasn't really been working out for months now, did you all expect him to blaze a 4.4? And I know exactly what he's talking about with the turf. He had been working out on the astroturf and he probably cranked out some good times on it (in the 4.5's maybe). The biggest factor in all of this is that he hasn't been in top shape for some time now due to those injuries, meanwhile... guys like Sweed and Thomas have been running fine during that time shaving tenths off their times. I lifeguard in the summers and just for fun me and the other guards measure our 40 times at the beginning of the summer and the end. In just a couple of months most of us are able to shave a good 3 to 5 tenths of a second off of our times (depending on how out of shape each person is). To a potential NFL draft pick, that could be millions of dollars. Malcolm Kelly is still the most talented WR in this class, and he has previous 40 times and game film to back up his speed... it's just ridiculous how much weight people give 40 times. If anything, this will hopefully encourage the Bills to trade back for some more picks and take Kelly in the 20's of the 1st.
