James Hardy speaks
A few highlights:
Now I'm in Buffalo and this is the best thing to happen to me since the birth of my son and I just want to get on the right track in Buffalo.
"A lot of guys from Fort Wayne they actually never come back and I never understood that growing up," said Hardy. "I felt being in this position I could change that, but it's bigger than me. I have an organization that I have to represent in the best way possible and I just can't put myself in these situations. And now I understand why they don't go back."
I really hope Hardy follows through on all this and makes the right decisions. He obviously understands what issues he can face by putting himself in the type of situations he was in. I hope he spends most of his time in Buffalo and concentrating on becoming a star on the field.

This
really helped explain the situation he was in and I for one am relieved that NO gun was involved. He certainly is saying the right things now, a very positive statement from him.

Journalism
To sell papers, especially now due to the internet newspaper reports are exagerating more than ever. Maybe a witness says she thought she saw a gun. The reporter then turns that into he was pointing a gun or waiving a gun. Hey, look what happened with the Boston Herald. In regards to owning a gun or carrying a gun, look what happened to Sean Taylor. He has a child and a lot to lose. This is another reason why I trust what I read less and less.
However, this might be good for him to realize how something so small can get blown up so big.

I am ready to move on
Nothing is going to come of this incident. Hardy has come out and said all the right things. Now, he has to come out and actually do the right things. I hope and pray with all my heart that he does. Nothing would make me happier than to see him become a model person, both on and off the field. But, would you bet your life on it? I am still holding off on buying my Hardy jersey!!!
