Ticket Prices in Toronto
Just reading about some of these ticket prices. They are absolutely out of whack. People will start to talk about how much more money they can make in Toronto but here's the deal. It's a novelty...American sports in Canada. It's the circus coming to town every year...get tickets now before they are all gone...you get the picture. Fact is, after not making the playoffs since 1999 I would LOVE to see people pay those prices to see a football game. Buffalo is where the base is. I just read today in the Buffalo news that season tickets are up this year. UP! Being a season ticket holder myself, I sat through the rain, sleet, snow, hail, and wind during the last game last season against the New York Giants. I watched as we slowly lost a 14-0 lead. I went to that game fully knowing it meant nothing and we would miss the playoffs for an 8th season. I went to that game because I am a Bills fan. And guess what? So did 70000 other people. The circus may be attractive, but I don't see people paying $200 for a game like that. Buffalo is where the fans are.

Agreed
You’ve seen that happen in DC for baseball, Charlotte and New Orleans (though the Hornets being great this year has helped that situation) for the NBA and Jacksonville in the NFL (until they got good again, and even that is debatable with the tarps they use). Once the novelty wears off in these new areas, the fans who had no prior rooting interest go away too. I just wish there was more money in the Buffalo area so this whole situation would be rendered moot. The Bills belong in Buffalo and Buffalo belongs in the Bills…

I was at that game too.
Sat through all that terrible weather knowing full well that the game meant nothing.
Look at when baseball moved the Expos to Puerto Rico for a time. Those game were the hottest ticket in town. I don’t know how many of you have been to PR, I have several times, (my wife’s family is from there) once you get out of the city of San Juan, the poverty level rises significantly. There is no way those game would have sold out if the team moved there full time. Toronto is a bigger city then the entire island of PR, but the circus coming to town idea is the same.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
