Thanks for posting this, John.
I love listening to Whitner, and he was awesome in this interview, but man – his interviewer did her finest to ruin that appearance. “AL East”; not knowing jack about workout drills; that was just awful. Props to Donte, but ESPN needs to replace some of its personnel.

haha
I thought the same thing. AL East? I thought the Pats were enough to worry about, but now we have to compete with the Yankees and Red Sox too?

Rays are better, in fact I would bet the Rays could take the Dolphins right now.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

love it
I know Brian has written about getting more production out of Whitner, and we would all like to see more big plays but I think he hit it on the head when I saw him on 1st take today. I mean he said if Stroud gets back to Pro Bowl form, it makes our DE’s better and ultimately will put QB’s under more pressure. Our secondary can make plays if the front 4 can get to the QB. I think Whitner is right on. This 2008 Bills Defense depends mightily on the play of Marcus Stroud. And if you think otherwise you are kidding yourself. Johnson is a good piece to cuz I think the Bills will be able to use him on 3rd downs at DT or DE and he can get after it.
I think Whitner is excited. But ultimately, if Stroud doesn’t produce in 2008, it will leave us same Bills fans that were hoping Derrick Harvey would fall to #11, to get more pass-rushing DE”s next spring through FA and the draft to allow this LB core and secondary to make plays that are a result of pressure on the QB.

I couldn't finish watching.
Someone please go back and count how many times Donte Whitner says, “you know.”
