DA: Bills' Lynch to plead guilty to accident-related charge
From a legal perspective, the hit-and-run affair involving Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch is over. Lynch has reached an agreement with Erie County DA Frank Clark in which he will plead guilty next week to an unspecified charge stemming from the May 31 incident.
It remains to be seen whether Lynch will receive further punishment from the team or the league once he is sentenced.

WTF?
You have got to be kidding me. One of the few bright spots on this team just diminshes. Freddie ain’t picking up his slack at all, Im sorry, don’t be convinced that he will. God all I want to do is write nasty words about this right now. He was a key part to this offense.
Well, at least we will get to see how our depth is at this position. This gets guranteed jail time right?

This gets guaranteed jail time right?
Uh, no. The misdemeanor he could have been charged with carries a maximum sentence of a year in jail. That likely wouldn’t have happened. He’s very likely going to plead guilty to a lesser charge. He’s not going to jail.

I’m glad this is almost over. I would really like to see Marshawn man up and admit his mistake and apologise the woman he hurt. Thank goodness her injuries weren’t that bad. Sometimes people make mistakes and it takes a big person to admit it and face the consequences that come with it. It appears he is going to take that path, and likely the league is going to give him a few games off for it, and lets face it this could have been much worse. Lets hope that Marshawn has learned from it and becomes a better person.
a bit of a shame
but the culture seems to be that there’s more harm in ratting someone out, than the actual crime. There shouldn’t be any shame in seeing that the truth came be told and the right thing done. As you said, “to admit it and face the consequences that come with it.” A character-builder for sure.
Keep the faith!
Seriously?
Who knows what happened? I’m willing to bet that the “victim” was standing in the street, when she should not have been. Further, judging from her injuries (only brusing and some stitches), she barely was grazed by the Cayenne. It would be easy for me to see how the driver might not have even realized that he “hit” someone. This whole thing stinks of a D.A. who’s trying to build his rep.
Big ups to M.L. for not snitching.
