Traffic Violation
[I say the following with the knowledge of having faced multiple driving without a license charges, resulting in being arrested, three times having a revoked license, and as you can imagine numerous speeding tickets.]
A traffic violation is not a crime and is treated like a speeding ticket. If Lynch has a clean license, he will feel nearly no punishment outside of a fine.
A traffic violation is not to be confused with a moving violation, which is more like a parking ticket.
Therefore, if Lynch has no points on his license and no driving record, he will merely face a fine not to exceed a few hundred dollars, possibly up to 1,000 and some points on his license, probably 6. I am sure someone else could find out the possible punishment more accurately at a New York State website.
So, because it is not a criminal charge, as has been worked out with the DA, Lynch will be fine with the NFL as well, because compared to a DWI, which is a felony, Lynch should not be suspended, especially since he is a first time offender on a minor and questionable altercation that is evermore amplified because Lynch is one of the most popular if not the most popular players on the Bills.
Lynch might be put on some sort of “probation” by the league more as a recognition of the act with no real punishment.
We can just hope that this happening early in his career means he’ll learn to at least get a driver when he parties.

that sounds right
I should point out that Lynch’s camp mght have taken a somewhat harsher penalty to get the charges that low. I wouldn’t be surprised to see that he accepted a bunch of community service as part of a plea deal type concept.
A DWI is a misdameanor. Two offenses within ten years can lead to a felony charge.

DWI
I knew it was something lke that. I only said felony because of the inability to go to Canada after having a DWI, which is something I think is right, bt I do not have personal exprience with.
Otherwise though, I don’t see community service due to the fact it does not comply with the violation.
