The Star Beacon - Steve Doerschuk on the NFL: It never snows on June dreams
You can tell it's the off-season when a writer covering the Cleveland Browns publicly takes a dump on the Buffalo Bills. Not sure what the purpose of his article is other than to stir up a little controversy, but his (almost inadvertent) comparison of Trent Edwards to Charlie Frye did little to bolster a flimsy, rather boring article. Stick to what you know, Steve - we suspect it's not much.

uh.......
Yes, the Bills are banking on Edwards, picked late in the third round last year. God bless them for seeming to love him, but quarterbacks drafted in third rounds seldom pan out. We suspected that and, we think, proved it amid heavy 2007 research of Charlie Frye, the Round 3 QB whose rise and fall in Cleveland was swift.
So now a 6th round QB with one fluky year is a better option? Can you say…......D’oh
