draft

I’m taking Brady with my first pick. The last 2 years my 1st pick has gotten hurt and missed significant time, not that I want Brady to get hurt or anything !!!

Sounds like the Madden curse...

Speaking of Madden, I bought a Wii a month ago. I just rented Madden 2008 for it. It’s the first time since 2002 I’m playing a video game again. What gives with this game? You can’t force trades? You can’t create players? I was kind of beefed about it.

If anyone has anything to offer on this, I’d appreciate it. Thanks in advance…

What trade are you trying to force, Randy Moss for Josh Reed?

The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

And Stamer for Mitchell. And Webster for James.

And I wanted to create a Fred Jackson, Schoumann, and of course, myself.

What position do you play?

I don’t own a Wii so I can’t really help you. My nephew has one and I spent an afternoon kicking his tail at MLB 2008. I realized that if I got one I would spend more time that I should playing the thing. I was better off staying away.

I actually bought it...

Because I’m working on an idea for an invention. I can tell you more later…

But, after I bought it, I thought about playing it too. Why not have a little unproductive fun I say?

Back in the “old days,” when you could create your own guy, I was always the biggest, fattest DT you could make.

I was always a linebacker. Blitz every down, get about 12 sacks a game, kind of linebacker.

You have a lot to catch up on. It’s not the Wii, per se, but the version of Madden that’s causing the issue – trades have been revamped since 2002 to make swinging a trade much more difficult (i.e. realistic). So you can’t trade Tripplett for Stroud because the Jaguars would have been insane to make such a deal.

Are you trying to do it within a Franchise? I’ve never tried making that trade in Roster mode prior to opening a season; that might do the trick, though I can’t guarantee it.

Not sure on creating players either. I don’t recall seeing that option.

Yeah, that didn't work either...

You’re 100% right though; I have a lot of catching up to do.

For the record, I’ve been playing the game in a franchise mode (from last season), and on the rookie level (I don’t have that much time on my hands to get “good’). Lynch is a monster. And prepare yourself for this – Josh Reed is my number one go to WR.

Rumblings league

I read somewhere that the newest madden is going to have online fantasy franchises. that would be amazing and probably get me fired

McKelvin and Hardy - rookies of the year
