Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

They are down skill players
but Hasselbeck and Holmgren are so good, that they will find a way to make some plays. And Julius Jones stinks, if we can’t stop him, it’s going to be a long year….

I think we can win that game
because our secondary gets a favorable matchup against the receivers they have left. As you said Julius Jones stinks, we will stop him.

Skill Players
Who will be starting at WR and TE? How good is their OL?
Their defense looks to be legit. Good enough to score on defense.
Great plays don't make great players; great players make great plays.
Yeah, their defense is still excellent, though they’ve had a few injuries there as well.
Nate Burleson and Ben Obomanu will undoubtedly be the starting receivers. TE is between Jeb Putzier and John Carlson, the rookie from Notre Dame.

Carlson is a near lock to start. He has been taking a huge percentage of first team snpas for a rookie. Will Heller will be the second TE because of his blocking and Putzier will be stuck on the bench.
Ben Obomanu is an interesting player. I bet he is largely ineffective against the Bills, but I think he might surprise with one or two great catches. Courtney Taylor should win the third WR job and might even steal some snaps away from Obomanu.
What is your opinion of Seattle's skill players?
Do they still rank among the best in the league?
Sorry, I can’t help it. I love to see other teams’ windows close, especially when the Bills could be on the rise. All of my comments in this particular post are pretty rhetorical. Really, I think Seattle’s receivers suck and the OL isn’t what it used to be.
Great plays don't make great players; great players make great plays.
Don't fear the runner, worry about the offensive line
Seattle ranked 20th last year in the run game and that was with Shaun Alexander and Maurice Morris. Jones will get some yards, particuarly on plays when Stroud is on the sideline.
They should be without their starting Center as well
Seahawks C Chris Spencer (back) is in danger of not being ready when the regular season opens. With Chris Gray retired, Seattle’s next option is Steve Vallos, a 2007 seventh round pick who’s never appeared in an NFL game and played tackle in college. Seattle’s inside running game could struggle early with Spencer out.
So they could be starting a converted Tackle at Center, who’s never played an NFL down. Stroud should be licking his chops if this is the case….

Sounds vaguely familiar
Don’t we have a converted something-or-other trying to learn the tackle position? Now was he one of the guys who went down today? Or was that a converted center backing up at guard for the past three years? No, I distinctly remember now… it’s that humungous guy from Oakland who’s played his entire career at right tackle moving to the blind side, right?
Our O-line is so muddled I’m not sure if I’d recognize the numbers on their jerseys to be able to tell one from the other.

Seattle is a popular Super-Bowl pick, losing Engram hurts but doesn’t kill them.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
Why?
I think Seattle is clearly a team on the decline. Their O-Line has gotten progressively worse, their running game is rebuilding, their receiving corp was mediocre at best even with Engram they had always relied on the smarts and decision making of Hasslebeck plus Deion Branch is fighting the injury bug. Their defense is really good and they will be a playoff team because their division is so uncompetitive, but I think they are a declining perennial playoff team.

Seattle’s O-Line should be better this season.
LT – Walter Jones is still a stud
LG – Mark Wahle was a good FA aquisition and should be a big-time upgrade.
OC – Chris Spencer is only 26 years old and the former first round pick is still improving.
RG – Rob Sims is only 24 and showed a lot of promise last season.
RT – Sean Locklear is a solid average to above average performer.
