Brad Butler is getting some reps in the closed morning walk thru at right tackle. Butler played RT in college at the University of Virginia and looks as though he'll be getting some snaps there if Estes is not fit for action Thursday night.

peters sighting

there are rumours floating around the Bills.com message board that Peters is in Orchard Park…

If true, and I have reason to suspect it is, then it can’t be a bad sign

and I have reason to suspect it is

What reason? Don’t hold back dude, any news regarding Peters is huge.

What the heck is he doing in Orchard Park? Training camp is in Pittsford!

Yes, Brian, but all the paperwork/legal stuff is conducted in Orchard Park. (You’ll recall the story of Leodis McKelvin waiting in a hotel in Buffalo before heading to Pittsford when his contract was near completion). The rumour took the form of a hint, nothing concrete mind you, by Mike Catalana, who works for the sports team on Rochester’s channel 13…

There’s no paperwork to take place. He’s got a contract, and presumably, he’s coming in without a new deal. If you’d said “his house is in Orchard Park” – which I can’t confirm, but it’d make complete sense – I might hear things as well.

I certainly hope, and have some reason to believe, it’s true. But I refuse to count my chickens until something far more concrete comes forward.

Butler

is probably the best option for us at RT at this point. It certainly doesn’t hurt that he’s played that position before, and I gotta believe it’s easier to find a guard than a tackle for the O line.

Get the Bills back to the big game!

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
