"[Losman] came up right before the game," said Bills quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt, "and he said, ‘This is fun. Playing in the games is fun. Now I know why I love football again.’ "

Was Fairchild that bad? Wow!
Now if we could just find a way for that preseason enthusiasm to translate into consistency during the regular season…
Get the Bills back to the big game!
what's the scouting report on Turk Schonert?
Where’d he come from? What’s he known for? How can I expect the Bills offense to be different under him?
my blog // calling BJ Upton lazy is lazy // past results do not guarantee future performance
Schonert was a QB for about 10 seasons, mostly under Wyche in Cincinnati, backing up Ken Anderson and Boomer Esiason. He also was a backup QB in Stanford under Bill Walsh; both strong links to the West Coast offense. Since he’s only been a QB coach, not a coordinator, it’s hard to say what he’s known for yet.
Here’s the teams he was a QB coach for:
1992-1995 Tampa Bay (Wyche)
1998-2000 Buffalo (Philips)
2001 Carolina (Seifert)
2003 NY Giants (Fassel)
2005 New Orleans (Haslett)
2006-2007 Buffalo (Jauron)
Each time he left, it was because the head coach left/was fired (probably with most of his staff) – not specifically Schonert; all of those one-year stints are the final year of Seifert, Fassel, and Haslett’s head coaching careers… He must have been affected by the Flutie Curse, I think.
