Evans update

This is from www.billsdaily.com:

Saturday August 16, 2008

Evans Contract Talks: One thing lost in the hoopla of the trip to Toronto was comments made by both Lee Evans and Russ Brandon about ongoing contract negotiations. Evans said they are closer then they have been and he hopes a deal is done by the time the season starts. Brandon said both sides want to get a deal done and he indicated that they are working towards a conclusion in the near future.

BTW, can someone tell me how to put a quote like this in a highlighted box?

Good update.

A deal by the time the season starts seems optimistic. A deal before Evans has a chance to opt out of his contract seems very likely. I will wait to see what dollars the Bills have to give Evans before deciding whether or not we should re-sign him. Thats just me though.

To do the highlighted box you:

Click on the button that looks like a open quotation. If you hold the cursor over it it will say it is the blockquote button or you just type in the code. The code is the less than sign (or is that greater than? its been too long since I took a math class) <. You then type the word blockquote and follow that up with the arrow that faces the other direction >. It should look like this without the spaces between the arrows and blockquote:
< blockquote >

You then type in whatever you want to be in the box. And close the box off by typing the same thing as you used to open the box, only you add a backslash between the first arrow and the word blockquote. It looks like this, again, only without the spaces:
< / blockquote >

give it a try

Thanks for this

hopefully they get something done this week.

The easiest way to add the quote is to simply copy and paste your text, then highlight it and finally click on the quotes icon to the right of the Bold, Italics and Strikethrough. That’s how I do it and it’s quite easy, much easier than the HTML codes….

thank you

This blog has some well informed Bills fans. I look forward to the season, and right now I have to give a shout to Brian G for all his work.

you can also create a fanshot for things like this...

and the site’s software lets your pick from posting a quote, link, picture, poll, etc. and formats it correctly.
