Dolphins sign Pennington
Looks like El Tuna Parcells will get a window into the Jets strategy and will have a QB he knows all about. It makes no difference for the Bills, but is bad for the Jets. Belichik must have gotten is devious qualities from somewhere, and you can look no further than Parcells.

Good
chalk up a few wounded duck INT’s for our secondary when we play the Fins. As if that wasn’t a given anyways.
I wonder if they’ll release Josh McCown? I would not be opposed to bringing him in as a longer term backup.

McCown
He should be the odd man out, especially with teams carrying 3 qbs less and less and John Beck would seem to be the one kept. However, i wonder if anyone thinks there is a chacne of Beck taking a seat…he looked terrible last year and I know little about what is transpiring in Fish camp. Anyway, probably not…
Protect ya neck!
Probably
It’s strange – usually, when a team signs or trades for a new quarterback, it’s a 3rd-string backup that gets cut, not the starter. But McCown makes sense to be cut, more so than Henne or Beck. Unless Parcells has a limit on quarterbacks named Chad on his team. So that would make two starting quarterbacks off their team in the AFC East before the season started.
Now, if the Patriots would just follow suit. Sign McCown, cut Brady!
Beck
I wouldn’t want Beck even if we could sign him for the NFL minimum. He is awful and shows no promise.
Beck did look terrible...
....but he was playing behind the Dolphins’ offensive line. He might not be as bad as he looked. I would hope that Buffalo ignores any QB cut by the Dolphins. Even with Losman’s flaws I’d take him over any of the Dolphins’ QBs.
I’ve never been impressed by Pennington. I do think he’s better than what the Dolphins had and, with the soft schedule the AFC East has this year, he might help them get to 6ish wins this season.
