Ben Troupe
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Why would we want to add a guy that was cut from the talent starved Bucs O, and also has no clue about our offense??? Schouman is fine, and Fine will be healthy soon enough. Plus, Royal looked better in week 1 than Troupe has his entire career.

Ha. “Schouman is fine.” Pun intended?

I took his release as a good sign that the Bills made the right choice in NOT signing him, I wouldn’t make that mistake this time around either. If one of the current TE’s gets hurt and he’s still out there, then I might give him a glance.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
My knee jerk reaction
is…hell yes! TE is our weakest postion. But upon further review, it doesn’t make sense to add a player at this point of the season that doesn’t provide a huge improvement. He would probably get lost in the shuffle and would take a roster spot from someone who buster thier butts with the team all summer.
Pass!
why does everyone hate on robert royal? personally i think he’s a damn good option, and trent seems extremley comfortable with him. plus he brings a lot of leadership to the field.
TE
royal also drops a lot of passes if my memory serves me correctly. i would have liked to see a big name te come to buffalo like crumpler but now id rather develop schouman and fine. also im watching espn and seeing that gus frerotte is the vikes new qb why not shop jp to minnesota? i mean this is probably the best time to trade him and get the most out of him. i mean ive seen gus play and hes no stater. jp well i think in a different environment could go a long way for him. i dont think that if edwards gets hurt (hopefully this is not the case) i dont kno if i want to see jp go out there. get rid of him when we can why not?
Wait a sec....
Gotta disagree on that one. I think I would rather see him out there vs. Gabriel if TE goes down. It’s been rehashed here several times of why we need to hold on to J.P He’s a quality backup who knows our system in and out, has familiarity with the players, and it appears he still has good rapport with the organization. Were only one play from losing TE (god forbid), and we really need Losman if that unfortunate scenario occurs. I just say we have to eat the loss of J.P. at the end of the year, free up a little cap space, and hopefully his roster spot goes to an impact player next year. I’ll wish him farewell.
Really like the guy.

losman
cant stand watching him play, his spinning around in the backfield “avoiding” pressure just makes me want to turn off the tv and go puke. HOWEVER
whoops
it is nice to know the back-up has some nfl game experience so yeah we should def hold onto him but i will be glad to see him off at the end of the year.
