Fantasy Question:
Hey guys its my first year being in a fantasy football league and I'm not sure which quarterback I want to play this week. The funny thing is my two quarterbacks are Matt Hassleback and Trent Edwards. Purely thinking about point potential I would go with Matt Hassleback but the thing is his two best recievers are injured, his tight end is nothing special and I just don't know who hes going to throw it too. I mean the guy is a pro bowler but the bills secondary should be pretty good this year and I cant see Nate Burleson carrying the team in catches and yards. I like Trent Edwards in this game too though because he has a full stock of wide recievers, Josh reed has been playing well as of late, in the Indianapolis game Evans was getting separation like it was routine, and the bills running game should take some of the pressure off Edwards which I cant say the same for Hassleback. Im still leaning towards hassleback though and the main reason is because of a man who happened to go to the local public school not 5 minutes from my home and happened to have his number retired and his name is Patrick Kerney. I would love some input from some knowegeable fantasy players. Thanks

Trent
I have Trent on my Fantasy team but I put emotions aside and went with McNabb. I think with everyone healthy, Trent is good for 200-250 yds, 1 TD no INTs (I’m thinking 4-5 sustained drives of 40 yds or more). With Lynch, I think they can manage and sustain drives.
I just don’t see Hassleback managing long sustained drives or numerous long bombs this week. Trent is a safe pick.
I have Lynch and Evans playing. I just dropped Reed and added Eddie Royal of Denver. I have two other rookies, Pittsburghs Mendelhall and Houston’’s Slaton. Exciting stuff!

Not to sound harsh but....
I really wouldn’t have drafted Trent. FF is not about potential, but more about results. Trent is a very unproven QB, and he has only one proven offensive weapon in Lee Evans. The cardinal rule of Fantasy Football is to put your emotions for your favorite team aside and go with guys who you are almost 100% are going to produce.
Good luck regardless!
BTW I have Lee Evans in one and Buffalo’s D in both of my leagues….

Sorry guys
but I’m never starting a Bills player outside of Lynch (or Evans if absolutely necessary). Too many inconsistencies and poor production….
I’d start Hasslebeck over Edwards, though I’d much rather see if another QB was available….

At the time
at the time I drafted my second QB there really wasn’t much else to pick from so I figured whatever.

Fantasy
Anybody else have fantasy questions?
I’ve got one….RB #2:
Should I go Earnest Graham, Selvin Young or Darren McFadden?? I’m probably going with Young because Oakland’s got such a terrible run D and I’m worried New Orleans D comes out flying after the past week of Gustav and limits Graham. Young should have a big game, but may not score a TD…
I’m also going with Kevin Walter over Vincent Jackson for my #3 WR while Brandon Marshall is out…..agree on this???

McNabb
was a monster for me but Laverneus Cole, Jets, killed me. He’s gone as soon as Tuesday rolls around. I made a killing with Evans and Lynch and I wish I had started Parrish instead of Cole. Oh well.
I am adding Royal as a back up TE.
