ESPN's Trent Dilfer: Brady out for Season
There is no link yet for this story yet, but it just flashed across the bottoms of the screen on ESPN. From what I read the quote went something like this:
"According to a Patriots player who spoke to ESPN's Trent Dilfer, "Matt(Cassel) is out quarterback from the rest of the year."
As soon as an official story or link is posted I will put it on here. In the mean time this is just a rumor. After the MRI is done tomorrow, I'm sure we will know for sure.

Easy for you to say, you didn’t take him with your top pick in FF.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

No, I think I have Romo
Though I have no idea what I’m doing in fantasy football so it wouldn’t really be all that bad if I had him.

i'm a Bills fan but there's no reason to hope a player is out for the season
where’s the pride of beating a good team at full health?

He's already hurt
it’s not like we’re wishing for an injury, just happy that he’ll be out the rest of the year

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!
Karma baby! Keep your starters in during a 30-40 point blow out, then life will kick ya in the balls some point and time later Beli-cheat! Go BILLS! We now can have a better than even shot at going 6-0 in the division where before we could only go 4-2 at best if we swept the Phins and Jets.
Its is a very very very good day to be a Bills fan.

Want to get a little opinion out here on Brady:
I was DISGUSTED by Bills fans at today’s game when it was announced during halftime that Brady was hurt. Come on… we’ve had enough bad luck with this franchise. Brady is a great player. Yeah, I know that his injury opens exciting possibilities in our division and in the AFC in general, but to cheer an opponents’ injury is horrendous behavior.
Did we not see Kevin Everett get injured in this same stadium last season? It’s incredibly how much our behavior changes when one of our biggest enemies gets hurt. I was appalled.

I'm with you...
I was in the concourse getting a beer when they showed it on the TV’s and I couldn’t believe people would cheer like that. I don’t think you should ever celebrate an injury…even if it’s Tom Brady.

I agree with you Brian
We as Bills fans may have hatred for the Patriots, but no one should be happy and cheering when a serious injury happens.

Look around the internet
there is some serious venom being spit out. As I said in the other thread, I am happy that the Bills have an excellent chance in this division. Many see this as karma.
I don’t wish injury on anyone, one reason being Kevin.

first of all
I do agree with you to a degree. But to compare what happened to Kevin Everett to a season ending knee injury is quite wrong in my book. A season ending knee injury to a QB who has multiple Super Bowl rings is one thing, a potentially life threatening or paralysis inducing injury is another all together. I agree that it is never right to cheer an injury to anybody but please don’t compare those two.

Oh no… I didn’t intend to compare the two, and I’m realizing now that it came off that way. Not at all. It’s just that if any team’s fans understands injuries, it should be this fan base – and Everett’s situation just strengthens the degree to which we should understand that. To cheer an injury disgusts me. Apologies for the confusion.

You're certainly taking the high road, Brian.
I’m just glad that he isn’t playing for a while. Knee injury, criminal indictment, kidnapped by a horde of supermodels….it’s all good so long as he’s not playing.

I won’t deny that his injury opens up exciting possibilities. I don’t get upset with people being excited about the prospects of a Brady-less Pats squad. But to cheer an injury… seriously, Ron, the stadium was in an uproar. It made my stomach churn.

You're comparing a knee injury with life threatening paralysis?
If Brady was on Death’s doorstep it would be a different situation. As it stands, he’s got a knee injury that will hopefully (Yes, hopefully as it really helps Buffalo’s playoff chances.) force him to miss some games. It’s not like the fans were pelting him with snowballs laced with batteries as he lay on the field. Besides, it will give him plenty of time at home with Giselle. How can that be bad?
by Ron From NM on Sep 7, 2008 8:39 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
i don’t entirely agree. Injuries are a strategic part of the game, like penalties, and when they go your way it is good, when they go against you its bad. Brady’s life is not threatened, plus he is the devil for Bills fans and represents all that is my sworn enemy in the football world right now.
The Bills CAN win every game

A little sensative....
It’s not like Bills fans heard Tom Brady had a paralytic spinal injury and cheered, Brian. How would you expect people (many of them drunk) to react they hear their nemesis has an injury? I’m sorry but you just can’t equate Brady’s injury to Everett’s. And I don’t believe for one second that those fans at the The Ralph today were not expressing every glint of emotion inside of yourself, and all Bills fans. Is it a little malicious? Of course… but football is a violent sport and guys get hurt ALL the time.

I already explained myself above… I did NOT mean to equate Brady’s injury to Everett’s, not in the least.

According to Yahoo Sports Tom Brady suffered a torn acl in his left knee. Here is the link:

Don't bet on it
at least not yet. Belicheck will do some quality work with that team. Expect Maroney to really become a bigger part of their team.
Now I just hope they start losing while Wes Welker has another big year….

Did anyone see the video
of Pats fans leaving in droves after they got word that Tom wasn’t coming back for the game? Dedicated fans there in Mass.

Surprised?
Not in the least bit. Some of the worst fans in the NFL. They were NOWHERE to be found before Brady, bunch of bandwagon losers. I’ve lived in Boston, I’ve seen it firsthand….

I'd have to concur....
with Bostonian being perhaps the biggest bandwagon fans of all-time… rivaling the front-running prowess of Yankee and Cowboy fans. It’s really sick how all of a sudden there’s Patriot, Celtic, and Red Sox apparel everywhere now… It definitely was not always like that.
