horrible conundrum

no hard hitting analysis on this post - just need some solid advice.

I'm a bonehead that scheduled a trip to NY to watch a game for the first time in yankee stadium. On Sunday. At 1:05.

I never miss Bills games.

Is there anyway I can still catch the Bills game and not ruin my stadium experience?

This is directed in particular to anyone that's actually been to the stadium, or has been stuck in a similar situation before.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Doubt it. I’m not sure how you could watch, or even listen to the game at Yankee Stadium. If you have a portable Sirius radio, you might have a chance to listen. I’m not sure if they show football scores during the game there, in case you wanted to avoid it, so you may be totally out of luck to catch it live or even avoid scores until you get home.

Slingbox and a Windows Mobile Device

If you have a Windows Mobile Device (Smartphone) you can get a Slingbox, install it on your TV, connect it to your internet (need high speed) and watch your TV from your phone. I just installed one and it works like a champ on my Samsung Mobile Phone. You probably won’t be able to hear it, but you can see it.

Might I ask where your head was at? :)

I was going to suggest Slingbox also, but BuffaloWill beat me to it.

I would suggest skipping out on that hole known as Yankee stadium. I’ve been there 4 times before and it is a complete #@!* hole. Even the players at the All-star game were saying they weren’t going to miss it.

The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

it is still Yankee Stadium

I’m a Mets fan but even I have been to the historic stadium. No shame in getting in a game before the House that Ruth Built is torn down

I understand

I just get tired of hearing all of the Yankee history crap.

It is still in that Festering Sewer-Pit at the Mouth of the Hudson

Why any Buffalo sports fan would wish to go into the den of the enemy and give his money to the man who bent over backwards to ensure that we did not get an MLB team is beyond my comprehension.

Yes, it is historic. So are the Chicago stockyards…and they both stink.

yeah.

i probably should’ve expected the yankee hatred.

either way – this slingbox you speak of… 1. does it work on a blackberry (i’m not sure if that qualifies as a windows device) 2. does it work long distance, or should i take it to the hotel and 3. how much.

and if this works for a reasonable price? and i see one of you on the street? and someone is shooting at you?

i’m taking that bullet. right in the face.

BlackBerry is not a Windows Mobile Device. Tough luck. :(

You could always break into the press box, beat up a reporter, steal his credentials and use his laptop….or worm your way into one of the private boxes. Unfortunately the private boxes only have a tv, and I don’t remember if they have cable….At least you’d get all the free food and beer you could handle…

I assume your not using Sprint then

Because if you are a Sprint member, take it to your local shop and see if they can set you up with the Sprint Mobile TV account for the NFL. Last time I checked, Sprint was offering this gratis to all members.

If your not on Sprint, you might want to grab a portable Sirius Sattelite radio from a buddy and go that route for the game, or buy one, and then return it three days later saying your wife was mad you bought it and made you return it but after catching the Bills game.

i have

an all day drinking/golfing affair 4 hrs away on saturday but you can bet your a&$ I will be up in my car by 7:00am to get back home and watch the Bills. Its sometimes tough to plan 16 Sundays around the Bills but I haven’t missed a play in 4 years and don’t plan on anytime soon. Especially with what I have seen so far this year. I love Stroud. I want a new jersey and I just can’t decide.

Stroud, Whitner, Parrish, Lynch, Edwards? They all appeal to me.

Jersey

I’ve given up on active player jerseys. My next one is going to be vintage.

I loved the Milloy Jersey when I got it….
