Happy New Year, Buffalo Rumblings
Happy New Year, Rumblers!
Well, 2008 sucked for our Buffalo Bills. I mean, it didn't suck for a while there, but, you know... we screwed the pooch. Oh well. It's becoming a mantra, but we'll say it anyways... "There's always next year." And now, mercifully, it is next year.
Through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, every one of you who reads, writes and comments at Rumblings makes putting myself through the agony worth it. Bills fans rule.
Have a safe, fun and relaxing holiday, folks. We'll pick things back up bright and early tomorrow morning. Go Bills!

Happy New Year
Thanks for providing intelligent and thoughtful commentary
You’re a welcome relief from Jerry and Bucky !
Happy New Year to all
This isn’t football-related, but I am pumped to watch the hockey game at Wrigley Field this afternoon. That game at The Ralph a year ago between the Sabres & Penguins was one of the best and most-fun sporting events of 2008.
Happy New Year to all of you
Thanks to all of you for expanding my football knowledge and stretching my thinking about the game and our Bills.
Brian, thanks for running a high quality blog.
Happy New Year everyone!!!!!
Here’s to the offseason and draft!

Happy 2009 to My Rumblers!
Hope you all had a great night last night fellas. I know I did. Anytime you wake up smelling like Stripper with a bunch of ATM $8 transaction fees slips you know it was a good night.
I hope 2009 brings the best for all of you and 2009 is the rare year like Jauron had in Chicago, and our Bills go 13-3, and we have our one year of glory for our beloved Bills! History tends to repeat itself!
MARVelous
Ha Ha
I bet you got a boat load of student loans……I know I did!!! History repeats itself with the exception that the field goal to win the Super Bowl is goooooood!!!!
"The Bills have no playoff aspirations"
you are correct
boat load of student loans.
New Year. New Hope. 13-3 is the ceiling. 3-13 is the floor. WIth their jobs on the line, playoffs or Bust….you gotta think that will add to the 2009 season in a good way. 2 ways to react to pressure. Embrace it and succeed. Buckle with it and fail. My question to Dick Jauron and his petty staff “What’s pressure going to do to you? Make you better? Work Harder? Prove everyone, 90% of Bills Nation that they were wrong? Or you going to let everyone be right, and show how you can’t get the job done in 4 years time?”
MARVelous
Worse things to smell like...
1. The Buffalo Bills Coaching staff
2. The Buffalo Bills Offensive game plan
3. Duke Preston and Melvin Fowler combined
4. Any rival AFC East opponents team and/or fans
5. Anything having to do with the Dallas Cowboys
6. Ed Hochuli’s officiating
7. Jason Peters’ contract demands(again)
8. Last nights’ New Years Eve dinner today
9. Any team the New York Yankees play this year
10. JP Losman
That’s enough for now. Please add more.
Happy New Year
It was not too happy of a year for Bills fans in 2008. So far I’m not smelling anything good, but I should have hope — blinded hope is all that’s keeping me alive these days as a Bills’ fan.
Bills fan half way around the world
Happy New Year All
Champagne gives such a hangover. Why do I keep drinking it? Looking forward to watching the Rose Bowl. Lots of pro prospects to look at.
everything goes better with a BIG MACK
champagne?
Never been a champagne guy? I went with vodka red bulls, and crown and 7’s. Party off the charts in downtown Minneapolis. 200 people, rented out a bar. Best idea I’ve seen:
If you were “taken” you got a red wrist band at the door. Single, a green wrist band at the door. Takes away all the guessing games.
MARVelous
thats a pretty cool idea

Happy New Year Fellow Rumblers...
Here’s to praying all of you have a Blessed, and prosperous 2009…
Maybe, just maybe, we can all sit here this time next year, giddy over the fact our “wait ’till next year” mantra has finally paid off…
Cinga....
I know you are watching your bulldogs. Anyone we should be keeping an eye on?
"The Bills have no playoff aspirations"
Other than Stafford and Moreno...
Who will both prolly come out early.. Seniors that might intrigue Bills fans… Massaquoi, a 6-2, very fast WR who came on strong this year… 4 yr starter, but rather dissappointing before this year… Side note… On the other side of the field from him, freshman AJ Green will be the next great out of college…
Ellerbe… Pretty darn good MLB to watch for…
Southerland, FB… Hurt a lot this year, but over the years, great blocker, and short yardage back…
The Dawgs Dline was a disappointment this year as well, maybe cause of the loss of Owen at DT early this year… He’s a senior, but has already announced he’s returning for a med redshirt next year… Of the other seniors, Weston at DT has never lived up to expectations, but could be an intriguing pick… Same could be said about Wynn at DE…
Of them all (Stafford and Moreno, both high 1st rounders), Massaquoi could go 2-4, depending on combine #s… And I think Ellerbe will go 3 or 4 as well…. Southerland will be a FA as I think the DL guys will be also barring great combines….
On another note..
Watch Moreno’s energy and enthusiasm.. How he bounces right back up after a play, and runs back to the huddle…
While his running style is a lot like Lynch’s, he’s not as big, but may be just as strong, and faster….
Cinga.....Did you just fall out of your chair?
Nice punt!!! and not a good series for Stafford.
"The Bills have no playoff aspirations"
To all
A Very Happy New Year!!!!!! and Brian best to you as our leader great site.
As one of the oldest members of Buffalo Rumblings I can only hope for a better 2009 than 2008 regarding the BB, This year took so much out of me rooting for this team I don’t know how I’ll handle another year of the same type of play. We have the tools to be succesful this year with a good draft and a few FA signings, and the coaches opening their eyes and play with the strenghts of this team. RUN RUN RUN then pass if you need to. Fire up the defense and play with some passion!!!

Happy New Years to all..........
Been a fun 2008 season with you all……looking forward to 2009!

Happy New Year Rumblers! Quick Question:
We can be happy that our quarterback is not being called out on national TV today, like Jones on Favre (ABC tv,) and that Edwards is at the beginning of a promising career.
I finally saw Buffalo ‘66 yesterday, choosing it for my birthday movie. The flick is intense. I have to rank it up there, with Gallo’s acting and directing being outstanding, and the cinematography very good. I know it portrays some psycho Buffalo fans, but those parents could be from any depressed area.
I was thinking of starting a fanpost that was like sireric’s community building one, with peoples favorite movies, but I’ll just ask the question here:
Question: Is the season over, for all intensive purposes, or can you get excited for another team? Last season I was loving the Jags in the playoffs. Is there an overall favorite among Rumblers?
Sweet home Orchard Park.
I told my son I’d be rooting for the Falcons with him. I’ve enjoyed watching Ryan and Turner all year.
im on the panthers bangwagon

Even though the Bills are out
It’s hard to not get excited about NFL Playoffs. After the Bills lost the 4 straight SB’s, I took a couple years off from watching regular season games, but I have always made sure to watch the playoffs. I am pretty content that the Pats didn’t make it.
Sweet home Orchard Park.
Ha........
hopefully its one and done for those fishies

Happy New Year!
The Good-
1- Beating MARVelous by a 10th of a point in the RL3 league, I better get into the top league now Bri!
2- Our 5-1 start
The Bad-
1- The rest of our 2008 season
2- Not being able to party on New Years Eve, stupid job!
Now if only this gopher could play DE, we would be doing better, I mean, who couldn't play better than the corpse brothers Kelsay and Denney?
A late Happy New Year
Happy New Years fellow fans. I would just like to share a quick and funny story about last night.
Even on New Years Eve I could not escape the Bills. As I was leaving Hutch’s restaurant in Buffalo, I held open the door for this tall guy, about my age (mid-20s) with a long-ish shaggy beard and a strikingly familiar face. To my surprise it was JP Losman himself. I said hello and held the door, but thought to myself how that was probably the last time I will see him in Buffalo. A fitting end to 2008. Cheers everyone!
You mean you didn't ask him if he needed any help packing :-)
"The Bills have no playoff aspirations"
Happy new years guys!
I want to thank everyone for a great 2008, lots of great heated debates!
I look forward to 2009!
