my dad died a year ago this month of liver cancer......
but the doctors say he got it because of drug use…..I dunno if that is true or not…..my dad claimed he didnt do drugs, besides mary jane…… and I know he didnt drink that much….but he was never one for doctors either and he didnt get a transplant in time……
anyways that was off topic…….but my best wishes to the Kemp’s hopefully you get well soon Congressman.

My mom never smoked and had maybe 5 drinks a year
She died of cancer when she was 55. Sucks!!!! The Kemp family as well as many others who are dealing with cancer in their lives will be in my prayers!

Thanks man,
Sorry about your dad too. This may be too personal, but my mom didn’t keep up with her “girl doctor” visits. By the time she went in, it was too late. Don’t let someone you love get away with doing that. Push them HARD to go in. You might save their life!

amen
my dad spent a life as a radiologist/oncologist dealing with treating cancer as a job. You never realize the broad affect that it has on everyone involved until it happens to someone in your family. So many times people hear my last name, and somehow they know my dad because he treated one of their family members.
Not sure if any of you saw Patrick Swayze with Barbara Walters last night, but he is dealing with pancreatic cancer, one of the toughest sob’s to cure. it was a pretty cool up close interview on his battle.
Cheers and may we always remember those who are no longer with us. Good luck Mr. Kemp

Let us hope it turns out to be a treatable type. Some the good doctors can treat well and some they can’t. He is a good man and a great credit to Buffalo. I wish him the best.

Amen to that
Cancer is horrible, just horrible. To be honest, it’s something I dread but so many get it, it’s depressing. It bothers me big-time we have not cured this disease. Hopefully, Jack will recover.and you know all of us in the Buffalo area are thinking of him and saying a prayer for he and his family.
