What if....
Just because i got bored and wanted to see your guys' thoughts. I havent been on in a while soo idk if this has been brought up but... What if we tried to aquire Josh Johnson from Tampa. Now before we get all we have a better version in Trent or he sucks look at his numbers blah... Let me say that the kid still hasnt been around in football for that long out of a division 2 school and would take some time to still get better. I just like his game because he is mobile, at least so far isnt shy to throw the ball and the biggest thing is he has confidence in himself. This still isnt a get rid of trent call im just interested and this was a brain dump... Ideas, comments are welcome.

Do I even need to comment on this idea?

Let's hope the current one isn't involved with Josh Johnson

AMEN
to your sig
I deem Sundays at “Pantsless Sundays” and my couch a “no pants zone”… FYI… that was probably too much information

I'd trade for David Carr and no one else

That actually needs some explanation from my point of view.

This is the worst time to trade for Josh Johnson
His value just rose higher than it’s ever been, and higher than it may ever be, with his decent outing this week.

Buy low sell high
Best QB to get at this point, considering what we’d have to give up, is Brady Quinn.

Not that far fetched

Jason La Canfora at NFL Network estimated that Quinn could be had for a 5th round pick. Brady Quinn for a 5th round pick? highway robbery for whoever trades for him.
Quinn has started 6 NFL games. Hardly enough to properly evaluate or allow a QB to develop. Given his upside, I make this deal in a nanosecond.

What exactly is Brady Quinn's upside?
He doesn’t have the strongest arm, isn’t very accurate, throws a wobbly ball…Is his upside Jake Delhomme?

How about none of the above. What we need right now is direction at the top. My vote goes for Cowher. Bring back the power run game.
We are more than likely going to have a top 5 pick in the draft. Teebow, Bradford, and McKoy are going to be in the draft this year. I think we need to pick up a veteran in FA and draft one of these guys to sit for year one and start no earlier than year 2.

Teebow
Please don’t mention Teebow. He will be availble in the third round. Drafting him top 5 will set this franshise back even futher. McCoy and Bradford on the other hand…
Keepin' the faith!

We have the right line for the power running this year. It’s up to the Bills’ coaches to see that. If we run continuously up the A gap, by half time Jenkins should be wiped out.

What makes you think the Bucs are going to trade away their best QB?
What do you propose we give up to get him?
Poor ball security leads to very painful outcomes

Exactly. How often do teams trade their current starter?
Johnson could maybe be had in the offseason if they’re handing the reins over to Josh Freeman at some point. We shouldn’t confuse Tampa with a team that couldn’t use some wins. Since they’ve already got their QB of the future, they’re a team that’s trying to avoid a top 3 pick. So, I don’t think they’d trade Johnson away in the next week unless we really overpaid.
