Mike Williams starting!
I just read that Mike Williams, one of our more popular draft choices over the years, known more for his eating prowess than blocking ability, started this past week at Guard for the Redskins. In April, he reported to camp at 420 lbs., must have been watching Mike Golic do the Nutri-Sweet diet, and suddenly is down to 338lbs.
Not sure how he graded out, but rumor has it that their were about 15 hot dogs missing from one vendors cart!
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Not a wasted draft pick, but a gem for someone else.
Another man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Mike Williams deserves to start for the Washington Redskins period. As you mentioned, Williams went to training camp weighing in at 420 lbs. or more. Then he sheds 83 lbs., beat both starting and backup Guard on the team, that does not include, Williams was not in the league or playing football for 2 years. Great job, job well done, Mike ( I AM NOT A HATER ). He was a football All-American tackle from Texas and a No. #1 pick for Buffalo years ago, he was never a terrible player. But the judge and jury is not done with Mike, little did you know, Mike was drafted by the Buffalo Bills as TACKLE, not a Guard. Let me put some else in your ear, most NFL tackles drafted high from the University of Texas usually play Guard in the NFL ( example: Leonard Davis – Dallas Cowboys), Give him another 3 years, remember when he played for Buffalo in his 3 year span, he was traded to Jacksonsville, where he showed up late for practices and was often injured. I am gonna sit back and watch, to see what happens.
Can I have what you're smoking?
Redskins fans already hate him. He’s starting by default not because he beat anyone. Congrats, he shed 83 pounds, he only came into camp 83 pounds overweight.
