A glimmer of hope.....

After all but giving up on the season after the dismal loss to the Browns, yesterday's win against a good team has given me a small glimmer of hope.  Maybe the Jets will falter, the Dolphins won't get on track and the Patriots plane will crash.  Seriously though, I can now picture 8 -8 rather than the 5-11 I was thinking last week.

If......Leodis would've held on, we would be 3-3 and the Pats would be too.  If.....Roscoe would have been smart and the offense would've shown up vs. the Browns, we could be 4-2.  Those are a couple painful ifs, but it kind of helped me think we aren't that terrible.  Maybe we can still get back to semi-respectability.  However, I'm not sure if a so-so season is worth it if it means Jauron sticking around.  I'd rather fall flat and make sure he's gone than go 8-8 or 9-7 and have Ralph give him yet another chance.

Yes, but we’re not 4-2. We’re not 3-3. And the upbeat part of the season was at the very beginning. We’ve got to go 8-2, that’s nearly running the table to compete for a playoff spot. Glimmer of hope — it’s poison. Don’t drink the koolaid. This era in Buffalo is coming to an end, many players and coaches are playing and coaching on borrowed time.

I’ll admit, I was pretty PO-d around half-time. The first drive started out well, until it ended in another FG. I pretty much stopped watching the game, flipped back to it every now and again.

I fear we’re doomed for another 7-9 finish at best. Currently holding a record of 2-4, I see the following games shaping up this way.

@ CAR (W)
v HOU (L)
BYE WEEK
@ TEN (W)
@ JAX (W)
v MIA (L)
v. NYJ (L)
@ KC (W)
v. NE (L)
@ ATL (L)
v. IND (W)* only due to their big boys sitting this game out to rest for playoffs.

Stuck in mediocrity…

7 - 9 again

I worry that if this team goes 7 – 9 …. yet again… the necessary changes won’t be made. Jaroun will be back, and the front office will be back.

It hurts to think it, and even more to say it, but I think we need this team to be really bad this year. A top draft choice and a house cleaning are needed. Another mediocre season and Mr. Wilson will keep the current coaches and front office instead of eating their contracts.

Wilson knows that if he keeps Jauron et al after another 7-9 season he'll lose credibility among the fans.

it won’t happen.

7-9

Will not be good enough for this coaching staff again.

All comes down to both line's

The rest of the season will be determined by if the Bills can stop the run, stay healthy, since it seems they have lost enough players for a whole season already. And of course, how well the offensive line play’s at it get’s experience. This Meridith played pretty well at tackle.

Exactly
All comes down to both line’s.

Completely correct. The key to success in this league is with the big boys up front.

Guess I still havent figured out this blockquote thing. The first part was your quote, the second was my opinion. Somehow they are both blocked. I suck at this….

Just highlight what you want in block quotes and then click the quote symbol.

They are hard to play but not hard to beat.
