Great Comment
The reason the Bills rushing defense is worst is because teams have had a couple of long runs (e.g., 60, 70 yards) each game, not because they can run over the Bills every play. This happended mainly when the starting MLB, OLB, SS, FS and CB have been out with injuries. Now that the starting MLB is back, there should be fewer long runs. The real strength of the Bills rushing defense could be seen when Carolina faced fourth and one and decided to go for it with a running play, but the Bills stopped them for a two yard loss. While teams have been running up the yards against the Bills, the last three opponents have scored 6, 13 and 9 points. Actually, if not for two dumb plays at the end of the Patriots and Browns games, the Bills would be 5 - 2 and alone in first in the AFC East.

you forgot last week
when our MLB was back and we gave up 318 yards rushing with Jones having 2 rushes for over 50 yards.
i think he means, with multiple players out…but yeah we still are getting gashed for the most part. John Fox should just for not running enough in the second half. There was all kinds of time and they could have easily jammed it down our throat and won in my opinion.
Anyway….we always seem to be a few lucky bounces away, and even the Eagles, an avreage/above average team lost to the Raiders, but since we lost to the Browns, I think we are where we should be

Even if you take out the 9 runs the Bills have given up this year over 20 yards (ouch!), they would only move up from 32nd against the run to 25th vs the run. (they’d be 11th overall in team defense, though.)
It is interesting to note that the Dolphins and Jets ran up almost exactly half of their rushing yardage in just 7 plays – take those out, and their Y/A is a much more reasonable 3.7. The Saints on the other hand, had just one play over 20 yards, but a TON of 10-19 yard runs.
Yeah, there’s only 7 teams who give up more than 4.5 yards per carry and Buffalo is dead last in the league by a foot per carry at 5.2 yards per. The fifth worst run D in the league gives up 137.7 yards per game and Buffalo is at 172.4. Long runs certainly make this D look worse than they are, but no matter how you look at it, it’s not pretty.
I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then my life was so great that I literally wanted a second one. In my Second Life I was also a paper salesman and I was also named Dwight. Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly. - Dwight Schrute
