The favorite pastime of Bills' Fans for over three years and counting is discussing who the Bills should hire as the next head coach. This year, it's been kicked up a notch with the likes of Bill (spit guard) Cower, Mike (dead eye)Shanahan, John (Chuckie) Gruden, Mike (the walrus) Holmgren and others available.
While most fans agree that Mr. Wilson is too cheap to hire a big name coach, stranger things have happened. Those of you who remember the arrival of Chuck Knox, remember that he did not come out of the bargain bin, so there is presidence.
And while news of of Wilson letting the moths out of his 94 year old wallet and hiring one of the aforementioned superbowl coaches would be meteoric, it may not be wisest decision. You see, all of these household names of football crave the same thing; total control of football operations. None of these coaches have ever proved capable of this feat and two of them, Shanahan and Holmgren, had complete control before and failed.
The wisest move for the Bills would be to invest in a GM and let him hire his guy to coach his team. I now submit to you the guy I would hire if I was Mr. Wilson....drumroll please.....
