Scott Pitoniak: Time for some Cowher Power in Buffalo
Enough already. If I’m Bills owner Ralph Wilson, I pull the plug on Dick Jauron now. I put fiery special teams coach Bobby April in as interim head coach and immediately begin negotiations with Bill Cowher.

Darryl Talley appeared on the Howard Simon show yesterday. Full audio is available but he sure saw a lack of effort during the Dolphins game. He also had good things to say about Ralph Wilson.

First-round pick Aaron Maybin has seen a steady decrease in playing time. In the season opener against New England, Maybin saw 38 snaps. That number dropped to 27 against Tampa, then 13 against the Saints and 14 (in 73 plays) versus Miami.

Also,
Sorry about the slim pickins from Buffalo News and Rochester D&C. Don’t know why there aren’t more new stories from those guys this morning. This is normally the day they begin looking forward to the next game. Maybe they’re not ready yet.

Wanted to mention...
Did anyone else hear Rodney Harrison’s remark to Tom Brady? It went something along the lines of (paraphrasing): “Tom Brady. take off the skirt and put on some pants.” This was in response to the call on Suggs, which was a terrible call.

It certainly didn’t sound like a joke coming out of that pompous jerk’s mouth.

I think it was PFT – but it might not have been – that ran an article the next day explaining how that went down. Harrison talked to Brady before he went on air and told him that he was gonna take a little joking shot at him, and Brady laughed and said he was cool with it. They were teammates and won championships together, after all.

On the approval rating post, there’s actually a comment “FIRE JAURON TRADE EDWARDS”
I find it funny that someone thinks trading Trent would be remotely positive…great times to be a Bills fan

Or that he'd be a valued commodity right now!

Good for the media!
They’re finally bypassing the coaching and players and pointing the finger at who should really be blamed, the Front Office and Wilson himself.
This nails it, it doesn’t matter if Jauron gets fired, you still have a marketing guy as GM, and two guys who for 9 years have shown no knack for evaluating talent calling personnel shots:
“Still, I really wonder if a Tony Dungy or a Bill Cowher would make any difference here given the inept decision-making upstairs at One Bills Drive. That’s the most distressing realization of all.”
And this article as well, The Bills Are Run Like GM:

A big problem with an incompetent Front Office is that they lack of the ability to recognize their own incompetence (see e.g. Michael Scott). This is symptomatic of serious quality control problem, not unlike GM I suppose.
the sole responsibility
rests with Ralph Wilson. The employees at OBD surely will not fire, or demote, themselves. Only by Ralph hiring a competent GM can the rebuilding process begin. Anything less is more wasted time.
most of my posts get deleted :(
Does anybody want Russ Brandon, a marketing guy, to have ANY voice in selecting the next coach?
It just disturbs me that this guy runs the team.

Remember, Levy and Ralph picked Jauron. It could be said that the drafting got better with Russ in there – look at last year – 3 out of the first 4 picks were linemen – that’s how its suppose to be done

It doesn’t bother me. He doesn’t make the football decisions. Brandon’s question to the new coach should all center around whether he can work with him, be comfortable with him, communicate. You don’t need to know squat about football for that.
