well
doubt it will fire anyone but, it does go to show that Rob Ryan doesn’t seem to know what he’s talking about as far as Edwards inciting him to say these things. Edwards at least as far as I know is pretty guarded in what he says to the media and about other teams.

LOL Rob Ryan is sad.........
No where ever have I heard Trent say anything about Ryan or any defense that Ryan’s coached that in any can be considered derogatory.
However what Ryan said wasnt exactly that horrible either………….Seems to me to be much to do about nothing.

Considering his defenses havent been all that great lately......
and the fact his fatter brother has his own HC gig……….I dont think your idea is too far-fetched

I was thinking more along the lines of Ryan saying that Edwards talks too much.
Seriously – he said Trent Edwards talks too much.
…
Trent Edwards talks too much.
I can’t even wrap my head around how unbelievably factually inaccurate and stupid that is. What planet is this guy living on?!

Maybe he thought they were talking about Herm Edwards.
I remain convinced that somehow Drew Rosenhaus negotiated a playing time deal for Roscoe into the contract for TO.

Even though Ryan obviously didn't know what he was saying...
He was correct in one thing – Edwards is no Carson Palmer. He’s not even worthy of carrying Palmer’s pads to the locker room.
To be fair, he did show SOME guts in the Browns game, but he just doesn’t have it. And neither does the rest of this team, with a few exceptions. I actually feel bad for TO because he is an exceptional talent, and he is stuck on this train wreck. I hope for his sake other teams take that into consideration when he goes for his next contract. But i would not blame him one bit if he just folds up for the rest of the season. I wouldn’t want to get seriously hurt fighting this lost cause either.

Maybe Finally
His words will light a fire under the guys, and get them playing the way we all expected them to play. At least we can hope.
Why do today, when it can wait til tomorrow; the games on!

not edwards….it seems like edwards, when other players would get mad and come out fiery about stuff, just gets sad about stuff……its probably just the way he is.

thats why he will never?? be a big winner in the NFL, you need to have control of the team and he does not, the players like him but in a family you love your mom but it is your dad you worry about. The great quarter backs are explosive on the field but even more in the locker room. this very nice man is just a reflection of his coach and so are our bills. my god even so is Owens

i don’t think you can light a fire under these guys with a flame thrower…..until poz comes back we have no fire on our defense. Honestly, do you think it’s coincidence that our d has been circling the crapper since he broke his arm? 2 TD’s in the NE game after he got hurt, D didn’t look good vs TB’s 3rd string qb starter and the fat girl at last call the past 2 games, everyones plowing them

Let's hope Edwards does a good Carson Palmer impression
It can be argued that Edwards has the better receivers. Palmer is a cool under fire kind of guy, the sort Edwards generally is as well. Now if Edwards can just match Palmer’s production…

I’ve always sort of thought that Edwards was a little pompous, arrogant, overconfident and…..wait, he’s not talking about Braylon? Hmmmm…well, I guess we know which Ryan brother got the brains in the family.

I wonder what Mangenius thinks about this. I thought he was from the school that didn’t let the coaches yap. Guess I was wrong…

if it helps the bills to not embaras their fans good. Edwards has to put up this week or he will be thought of just like loser man, have true talent but be a loser. I hope that he start to bloom and show that he can lead, it might be nice to see a little aggression and anger from him, but it is hard to be aggressive with tranquilizer dick as a coach. good luck bills.

Haha
That is, uhh, weird I guess.
He was right, Edwards is nowhere near the player Palmer is, and Palmer isn’t even that great.

some of those comments on the Browns site are hilarious…I mean its one thing to talk smack if you can back it up…but when you have the 28th ranked defense in the league maybe you just focus on at least getting into the top 10 before you start going off at the mouth.
I know I wouldnt be hyped if our guys started doing crap like this. Its one thing to try and motivate your players to succeed but its an entirely different issue to just make yourself look like a complete idiot with absolutely zero brain cells floating in that gigantic melon of his

he is correct,
trent edwards is not even close to the class carson palmer is. we all know that. thanks for pointing out the obvious. so long as we’re making redundant points someone ought to tell him he is associated with the worst team in the national football league that just lost their second best weapon. their best is a special teams player. LOL LOL LOL. this is clearly just a desperate coach making a desperate plea to motivate a desperate team that clearly has no motivation. trent edwards went to stanford, he can think this one through. dust the dirt off your shoulder and hand the ball of to JACKSON and beast mode. lets see what 2-3 feels like huh? who’s w/ me.
Later Losman!

this
is the most assinine story I’ve ever read. I hope Trent takes it personal. Maybe something to motivate this team to 2 huge wins in the next 2 weeks….one can only hope

Well, Rob Ryan is right, when it comes to Trent being nowhere near as good as Carson Palmer, but he’s just talking utter rubbish, if he actually claims that Trent talks too much. The guy’s clearly a nutter, and if only he was half the defensive coordinator (which he btw. isn’t) of Rex, I could actually pay honest attention to what he’s saying, but since he isn’t, I’m not.
I hope Trent goes out and lights the Browns defense up, but too many times have this offense disappointed the heck out of me.

Allen WIlson in today’s B-lo news took a look back to see what Ryan was talking about. After last year’s Raiders game (where Ryan was the asst.) he said something about we may have worn them out. That’s about the worst Edwards has ever said about a Ryan-coached defense. This guy is nuts like his brother. I wish they would both put a sock in it.
