Fire Jauron & cut TO - The smart move at this point
We should have traded TO when we had the chance. Now at this point our season is completely over and everyone knows it. Unfortunately keeping Jauron until the end serves very little purpose.
At this point we need to evaluate some of our young talent. There are a list of guys that will be UFAs at the end of then season and we need to get the young guys behind them some significant playing time to see what we have. We need to give the next head coach some film to work with in order to make the right decisions
TO & Josh Reed: Steve Johnson & James Hardy both need to get the bulk of the work over those two. We need to know what we have with those two sophomores before any decisions can be made
Ryan Denney: Aaron Maybin needs to get significant reps from here on out. I also would like to see Ellis get some significant playing time over Schobel & Kelsay. Why risk you're two starters. Giving these two good valuable experience now in meaningless games should pay huge dividends down the road.
Keith Ellison: He's out and should stay that way. I'd like to see both Nic Harris & Ashley Palmer get more reps
Ashton Youboty: give Lankster some playing time.
Bryan Scott & George Wilson: Should we keep Whitner? Maybe we could trade him in the off season? Give him playing time so that he can strut his stuff. Either way, it makes sense to give him some time at SS.
-----
Unfortunately, Jauron won't start these guys over the incumbents because he is still grasping at straws to try and pull out a few more wins, which is why we need to fire him now. Who cares who we promote to HC as long as we make it clear to them that these guys need playing time. As for TO, I doubt he will like losing his job so we should simply cut him and save the $$ and aggravation.
As a fan I am completely discouraged and devoid of all hope. I see no need to even watch anymore. It's worse than humiliating. At least if we fire Jauron & cut TO, it will provide hope. It will show us that Mr Wilson cares and intends on rectifying the situation. It also provides us a reason to watch the rest of the season because even if we know we won't win, at least we can watch out rookies develop.
So there you have it, another crazy idea from Keysh - blast away!
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

You don't save any money by cutting TO.
Contracts are guaranteed once you’re on the roster in week 1.
Why would anyone trade for Whitner and the $6m he’s going to make next year?
I don’t get people thinking Whitner is awful. Overpaid? Maybe a little. But he’s not a bad player. He was playing well before the injury. He’s versatile and in the right scheme, he could probably excel. Somebody would think he’s worth it. He’s clearly a leader. Not sure what type of pick we would get for him because I don’t really know how to value such things. Plus, doesn’t it help for us not to trade away this amazing secondary depth that we have? God knows we need depth somewhere…

It took until Tuesday afternoon for you to post this?!?!?!
Busy Monday I guess!
I don’t really know how firing Jauron now and cutting TO gives any of us hope. The only hope I’ll have is when (or is it if?) the team brings in a football guy to run the team. Until then, it’s a hopeless situation…

"As the governor of Louisiana once said, the only way Chris Kelsay can lose his job is if he got caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy."
I say Ralph lets the Buffalo Rumblings community run the front office – we can all vote like their crap circle.
plus – we’ll have winning in mind more than any one factor – because we’re fans. :)

We'd at least have the desire and passion to turn the team around!
unfortunately we’d also have an inner circle type approach, unless Brian finally seizes all power!

Yes busy
But also, I had lost hope and the will to talk about the Bills. It felt useless because nothing ever changed.
Now with Jauron gone, I’d like to see the interim guy execute my plan. Sit the veterans who will be UFAs and play the rookies to see what they can do. Hopefully Wilson will hire a real football guy to run the whole ship properly and that guy needs to get as much film on our rookies as possible to see if he should re-sign the UFAs or let them walk.
If this happens, then at least we have a good reason to watch, to see our young guys develop.
I have nothing left to say, these Bills have sucked me dry of any hope. Loosing to a team that completes 2-17 for 23y with 1 INT, that is beyond pitiful!
The timing for my post was impeccable!

we shouldn’t trade whitner away. he’s a solid Safety (who might be willing to take a pay cut if needed) who is also very young.
I would like to see Steve Johnson or James Hardy starting at flanker for the rest of the year (regardless of whether or not T.O. is still a Bill). I’m sick of seeing T.O. half-* plays, no matter how terrible our QB is.
From the standpoint of vocalizing his displeasure, he’s been pretty good. You can’t tell me he’s been motivated these last few weeks, though. He’s dropping passes left and right and he’s not putting in 100% effort.
