Tim Graham's interview with Bills LB Paul Posluszny after the firing of Dick Jauron. Some great quotes from Buffalo's defensive captain.

I think it’s B.S. that the team finds out this way. They should hold a team meeting.

But I guess since it’s their day off that’s how it had to go down.

Thing is,

It hadn’t even been a hour yet. The team hasn’t had time to schedule a meeting. The Internet and Tweeting and cellphones going around, it’s going to be impossible to schedule a meeting. People are going to know by word of mouth what’s going on. No more “wonder what this is going to be” meetings.

Really?

Are we really suprised that this team would pull a move like this……….its the way things are done, which is why the team is so craptastically led from Top to Bottom.

This quote from Schobel is so very telling.
The move came one day after Bills defensive end Aaron Schobel called the Bills’ situation "embarrassing. I mean, we’re technically, mathematically still in [the playoff race], I guess, but it’s like what … are we doing here?

“That’s about all I can say without saying what I want to say.”

That about sums it up folks.

Email?

It’s standard business practice to send out a mass email to employees when significant company decisions are made. If the managing partner at my law firm were fired, I would be pissed if I read about it online (e.g., at AbovetheLaw) before I received an official email in my inbox.

So, why are NFL teams run differently? Is it so difficult to send out a mass email to the players’ agents right when the decision comes down — and before the news breaks on ESPN.com? Just wondering … It seems so odd for a player to have to find out about the status of his team by reading the news online.

true, you wouldn't want to hear that news from Bob Loblaw's law blog.

Why?

Because there aren’t tv channels and blogs and websites and magazines devoted to breaking the news at your law firm the second before it happens. I’m sure AbovetheLaw isn’t calling your office everyday to see if a partner was fired or has a reporter stationed at every law firm in the country to cover every move that they make. Someone in the media is going to find out well before a mass emailing can go out to a bunch of agents who then have to get in touch with their clients.

I'm disappointed in Tim Graham

any real journalist would have titled that post “Puzzledloszny” or something like that.

I don’t think this speaks to OBD at all. If he had been fired yesterday there would have been a team meeting. He was fired on Tuesday. It’s the team’s day off.
