Rumor: Coach Jimmy Johnson Arrives In Buffalo

I have confirmed source from a policeman working at the Buffalo airport that Super Bowl Winning Coach Jimmy Johnson flew into the Buffalo airport today.  If he really is here to be looked at for the head coaching job that would be amazing news.  It is a very reliable source and I do not doubt its credibility. The identity could have been mistaken but he texted me and is pretty sure Jimmy Johnson is in Buffalo.

Johnson works as a news caster for Fox. He could just be here in hat capacity….

Thats what I was thinking just had to let people know. Its legit and it is kind of strange that he is in Buffalo right after Jauron was fired. Buffalo News is saying the Bills are going after big name prospects

Didnt Jauron get fired in Detroit though?

Why wouldnt Johnson go to Detroit where Ralph is.

Yeah, if Wilson was hiring any new HC from outside the organization today, he would be meeting them in Detroit.

Oh Dear!

I love Jimmy Johnson, but would hate you having to buy new pants.

A dilemma…

by Pruitt on Nov 17, 2009 6:38 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I am torn

I have hated jimmy “How about them Cowboys” for so long. Plus, does he still have the fire needed to coach. The whole Miami Dolphins thing didn’t work out well.

Ed Kilgore just said that:

and i’m paraphrasing here

Brandon had Wilsons ear on what has to be done to bring the Bills back to championship calibre.

That lack of talent and direction was an issue.

The search for a proven GM is already underway that would work under Russ and Ralph and hire a new HC…

I hate to be a downer in my first post, but...

Remember when we all thought that because Marv had a proven track record as a “winner” that he’d come in and turn rags into riches as the GM?

Even IF jimmy is here, and he does want to get his hands dirty, who’s to say we won’t be let down again?

if it is true...

It is not so much who it is as what he would represent and that would be a Ralph that is willing to drop the coin to make the team a contender, Levy did not draw top dollar.

My thought is this is not true, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks and Ralph is not going to start changing his ways now. I expect another no name OC as head coach and hope for the best.

by guruu on Nov 17, 2009 6:43 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

steinbrenner went through the 80’s putting together so-so to bad teams. then he learned to get out of the way and let the baseball people take over… old dogs can learn new tricks… then again steinbrenner did continue to interfere from time to time with big signings… but at least they were contending once the professionals took over the team…

SORRY

But there’s no ocean and it’s way to cold for that south Fla. kinda guy
Now if the bills movev to Fla. or maybe Los Angelas,Remember they are trying to steal a team for L.A. from somewhere

Well, if they do move the team to LA, Jimmy would help them pack.

maybe he’s here because he needs to buy another box of Flutie Flakes to stomp on.

This is one reason I hate Johnson

The others are the 2 Cowboys Super Bowls, the hairdo, the Dolphins ties and his annoying commentaries on TV. I hope to God they don’t sign this guy.

Everyone knows Ralph stays out of town. Your buddy saw an old insurance salesman with a bad, fake chunk of lettuce on his head.

Why hate on him?

He is reporting what he thinks is credible. Pulling it seems too 1984 to me. Might as well use this story to express your likes/dislikes of jj. He won in Dallas but not as good in Miami (although he did make the playoffs I think)
